Your Good Deed Of The Day

…today i pulled weeds out of my neighbors flower beds–he’s an elderly widower and i’m sure he isn’t up to the task.

i’m sure someone somewhere did a good deed for someone today!

share your stories. your good deed might inspire me (or anyone) to do some more good deeds!

I think no one likes to brag but ok- I brought someone’s garbage cans up to their house. Minor but it was in the high 90’s outside.

I paid my mechanic via check instead of credit card for all 3 of the huge repair bills we’ve had with him over the past week. He was grateful, as he had over $10,000 that he had to pay charge companies in fees last year! His good deed was checking our “check engine” light at no charge. He’s very nice & we are trying to help him stay in business. (He knows I could have earned 2% back from my charge card company, but he’d have to pay even more than that 2%.)

Other good deed of the day was helping get publicity for an up and coming new organization by letting a reporter know about it. She’s interested and wanting to write a story about it. The organization is a collection of non-profits and other orgs that work together to have wellness events across the state, especially in underserved areas.

One more good deed was giving gorgeous new and a nearly new party dress to niece.

Favorite recent good deed was matching a guy who was looking to rent a place with house on our street that was vacant. The guy will be moving to our street in September & the landlord (our former neighbors) and tenant are delighted!

Only a small thing but while I was in TJMaxx I found a bunch of car keys in a shelf of towels that someone had obviously put down temporarily. Walked around the shelves to find their owner who was hugely grateful. Good feeling to help someone out!
