try to win a lotta debates and quizzes…become student body president…get selected for some Int’l Olympiads

<p>;)…no, there’s not. If there were a secret to college admissions they wouldn’t seem so abitrary.</p>

<p>well for one thing, the supp essays are used mainly for borderline applicants. If they’re not sure about you, they’ll look at these to decide if there’s any reason why you absolutely must go to Cornell–hence the “what would you do with Cornell’s facilities” sort of question.</p>
