Since we are moving away from tech… I highly recommend Hazardous History on Disney plus. We just watched the episode about toys of the past and are still chuckling about that calcium carbide-powered toy gun. 
I don’t think my parents bought at VCR until the mid 80s. We did get cable though in 1986 but only for the TV in my parents’ bedroom. We used to sneak in there to watch the R rated movies ; )
We did have an old 8 track tape coffee table, in gold. It came with the two gold plaid couches ; )

I still recall having nichrone wires where we were allowed to test different chemicals by putting them in a flame to see what color the flame was. That was one of the most fun things we did in biology in intermediate school.

I had a chemistry set. Played with the sulphur when my parents were having a party and stunk up the house.

My chemistry education came from my Color Magic Barbie whose hair turned bright red or bright yellow depending on the solution you dunked her head in. The hair was made from a pH-sensitive fiber and came with two solution packets, one acid to turn the hair red, and one basic to turn the hair yellow. When the packets ran out, you could just use vinegar or baking soda and water to eventually turn the hair to straw. Science!

Pagers aren’t old tech! At least not here. We only took off the pager number blank during our pre conference meetings a few years ago!
Now how many people used a planimeter. I used that thing all the time as an intern
I am permanently scarred from wearing one of those things for years as a sys admin where I was on call 24x7 seven days a week. Just the thought of that thing makes me shiver.
We used to have it go off if we were in a lousy date and would say we had to go.

The original pagers (the “later model" had a digital screen for the phone #) was tone only. You had to call the answering service to find out who called.

Waterton hotel had an OLD elevator and operator sitting in corner seat operating it. It was a lovely hotel, on Canadian side of Glacier.
