Which looks better to an elite college (like an Ivy or a school on the CC Top University list): an AP course and a good score (4 or 5) on the AP exam or a passing grade in an equivalent course at a decent but not great university (say University of Nevada or University of Montana)? Which will the elite school more likely accept for credit?

Depends, but I’ll take the college credits anyday.

Bumping this one

I’d take AP. CC credits are really hard to transfer out of state. Dunno about UN or UM though…
