<p>I wrote this on another thread and decided this should be a thread.</p>

<p>I got an internship at Northrop Grumman, the company that builds planes and materials for the U.S. military and some European countries as well I believe. By getting a summer intership at Northrop, would it appeal to the admission office at Berkeley? However, I’m really not interest in majoring in engineer but got the internship so it would look good in my application. My main emphasis is getting into UC Berkeley. You think that internship REALLY REALLY boost my chances of getting in?</p>
