iHerculez, I loved it when Middlesex had everyone sing
I also went to the concert that night, it was great! Did you go? And did you go Wednesday or Saturday?

Comeback wkend @ The Asheville School was great for my D and I.

It was from 4PM Fri-1 PM Sat.

Some things the parent and kids did together somethings we did separate.
I got to speak to many parents from different states, some single, some married. Everyone there (I believe 64 families were thrilled about Asheville.

I was sold on it the 1st time I physically went there. (my D’s interview)
Very warm genuinely personable to me away. Nice campus very organized, great academics, great academic support, nice kids.

My D seemed more comfortable there then most any other place.
And After being there 3wks last summer for a summer program and I asked my D what she thought about going to BS.
Her eyes lite up and she said she wanted to go to Asheville.

The kids slept in the dorms the parents @ hotels.
They gave us tickets to the Biltmore Estates…
At dinner My D’s tour guide/dormmate for the night said she felt kinda bad cause my D already seemed to know so many people she(the guide) couldn’t really introduce my D to many students or faculty.

My D was so elited and happy @ come back wkend. She is counting down the days to 8/24.

One of the teachers was @ the Airport when we flew into Asheville to pick up another family.

My D knew him from summer camp.

We had a couple of hours until registration time @ the Asheville school the teacher helped me get to where I was to pick up my car rental we all went to lunch then he showed me where my hotel was. Now w/ about 1:45 min to check in @ Asheville school the teacher, the other family, and my daughter went to campus. I went later.

When I got to registation and asked if they knew where my D was they said oh they had put her to work since she and the other girl had arrived early.
My D loved that.
I just have to keep reminding her that w/ reality it will not all be peaches /cream during the school yr.

She’s pretty rounded… I guess she’ll be ok.

I should just let her have her glory now.

YEA!

Asheville is going to be GREAT for your D and me.

drmaqueen.
Next time go to the spa at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville while waiting for your daughter. It is probably one of the best in the country.

If you receive FA…then that’s bad advice from PD. Asheville School automatically revokes your FA if you get so much as one spa treatment at the Grove Park Inn. But…if they don’t catch on, then I guess it’s okay because – after letting the Grove Park Inn siphon off everything in your purse – you’ll qualify for that much more FA for the next year!

HAHA! I went to Choate’s revisit day. And it’s so strange to hear you guys talk about something I saw too! Haha. Anyway, I LOVED the Kaprophones, the boy’s acapella group that sang for us. The girls…not so much. But I never like hearing girls sing. Hah!
I thought the interest fair was hectic. I didn’t get anything out of that, except a strange conversation with some journalist girl. I can’t write to save my life. Well, I guess I can, I mean, they accepted me with my essays and all, but journalism…not my thing. Everyone was too occupied and I didn’t want to be rude and interrupt.

And the Headmaster’s speech at the end-- Sure, yeah, it was pretty good, but I fell asleep. Absolutely no offense to Mr. Shanahan. Maybe it was just me. I was more intrigued listening to Mr. Diffley speak though. I really like him!

If I could have changed anything, I would have prevented the rain, because it made my hair curly, andddd I would have listened to the Kaprophones sing more, and made the Special Interests fair less…I can’t even think of a word. Awkward?

GO CHOATE! Yaaaay! <3<3<3

Buuumuuumuup
