Your school just got a $1 million donation.

What do you believe the school should spend the money on (may be more than just one thing)?

Probably retaining the teachers/staff, or reducing the number of furlough days.

Dividers between the urinals.

We have so many computers and an astroturf football field. Why can’t we afford the basics?

Also air conditioning.

This was a journal entry in english like a week ago.

I think some of it should be devoted to the school’s academic teams. We do not get enough.

Bettering the school’s bullsh** so-called “academics” and not making almost every class a blow-off class

Build a shrine to honor me perhaps.

Likely more (high quality) teachers for more AP classes, and perhaps funnel some to atheltic facilities (semi-urban school, little land).

Stop wasting money on stupid **** like Smartboards, turf for the football field, and bathroom renovations. (PEOPLE ARE PIGS AND THE BATHROOMS WILL BE NASTY NO MATTER WHAT)

Enhance the quality of education by hiring teachers who actually WANT to be there, not just cranky fools who hate their job and will give an A to anyone who buys them a slice of pizza

Invest in campus beautification. My school looks like a damn prison with its very little plant life and abundant grey-and-white buildings.

Bring back our librarian and College & Career Center representative, and more counselors (1:500 counselor ratio… definitely not ideal)

whaaaat smartboards are awesome…my old school had them and now im in a school without them and oh my god…teachers are too lazy and uninspired to write anything or use the regular boards and it’s hard doing powerpoint presentations or accessing internet data viewable to the whole classroom without a smartboard.
smartboards are the bomb.

i agree with bettering education, teachers, etc. though :)

Hahaha I guess I’m just not a fan of SmartBoards. I feel like they’re just an expensive toy and even though they have some cool features, it’s not like they’re absolutely vital to learning. Plus I hate the noise that they make when teachers write on them… don’t know why. ughh

But it’s funny to watch teachers write on Smartboards with permenant marker. It’s happened at least twice that I’ve seen since my school district started using them.

^ Hahahah surprisingly, none of my teachers have been foolish enough to do that. It would be funny, though.

Smartboards are soo fun when you get to play with them!

Um, a million dollars, probably reduce furlough days, but that’s not enough.
Most likely, more money funneled to the already well funded performing arts program. >.<

Wow, I thought my district was the only one experiencing furlough days… we get a whole week off from May 24-28. As horrible as this may sound, I am absolutely ecstatic. :D

Build a time machine and give me the last three years of my life back. With sleep preferably.

^ Simply ingenious.

Dry cleaning. Because they’d **** their pants.

PAPER TOWELS IN THE RESTROOMS. There is literally no paper towel dispenser in any of the student restrooms on campus.
Stop furlough days.
Save our counselors and sports (they’re considering cutting sports/counselors).

what is a furlough day?
