Your Voice v/s Your Numbers

<p>I just wanted to ask here that what value does the essay i.e. considered as your voice, have on the entire application ?</p>

<p>I just messed up an exam yesterday, so I feel my GPA will literally be killed. And I don’t feel after such an exam the teacher would actually recommend me, so my hopes kind of have gone of getting into MIT. So that’s why am asking that how badly does my voice or my passion serves a part in the admissions process ? BTW I’m a prospective international transfer student from IIT, India.</p>

<p>MIT takes so few transfer students, that there is nobody on this board, with the possible exception of MITChris who can make any really informed statement about transfer admissions.</p>
