Full sized sleigh and reindeer!
Warm and festive too - love it.
Anyone else feel like they are in limbo land workout wise just waiting for January 1? Iām starting a new program then and Iām very excited about it. But until then, Iām just mosey-ing through. We will also be gone for a week, so little to nothing will be done then, so itās kind of like - why bother?
But I still (as always) do my usual. I did a repeat mostly of last Saturday. Same run, pressed a little harder, a wee bit faster and then tacked on a little more. Roughly 9 miles. Then abs and mobility in the freezing cold shed until the gym opened and I finished with 30 min on the bike.
Kid/GF/dog were here yesterday. Left this morning. Will breeze back through after the new year. And today we are getting a bathroom renovated. Or they are startingā¦
Nine miles doesnāt feel like limbo land to me!
My usual workouts revolve around school semesters, and we are between semesters now. I didnāt sign up for the mini-session (mid-December to early January) because Iāve been doing more running.
For me itās more mental limbo land than physical. I still get up and go through the motions. But itās so hard to get up because I think āwhy bother?ā
Had to get creative to get my 3 miles in this morning as it was raining. Did this not too aggressive āfat burningā workout - I like her channel - and then a little indoor jogging that got me to three miles on my watch.
BUT for an outdoor shot, the sky in the backyard yesterday as I was heading out for my morning run and walking two pups.
Iām no photographer but the reflection of the colors on the water was INCREDIBLE! Like the water was on fire!!
@basket - thanks! I think I will try this today
Not an awesome picture, just part of my grumbly whine these last couple of days. We arenāt on the coast, so we didnāt get the brunt of the storm, but did get 2" of rain Sunday and then 30-35 mph wind gusts all day yesterday and still out there this morning. I donāt mind (I actually like) the cold, but running into the wind when the flags are horizontal⦠I am not a fan. Running uphill into the wind when it feels like Iām being blown backwards, and I get grouchy very quickly⦠Though yesterday was warm & windy in the morning. I was stripped down to my tank top, as it was 50 degrees and the wind felt warm. This morning it was 29 before the 30-35mph wind and I kept my hat and gloves and sweatshirt. Tomorrow we leave for our trip for a week. Iāll bring some running clothes, but Iām not very optimistic Iāll do anything. I donāt like running in new places very much, and we keep changing hotels/locations every 2-3 days.
If the weather is better maybe youāll don those running shoes! Or go out at a time that is not dark so you can enjoy the scenery a bit!! Have a safe trip - youāve logged enough miles to take a break as well! ![]()
@ClassicMom98 - I hear you on running in strong winds!
Safe travels.
Is there a historical plaque on that one - itās an old beauty!!!
Yes, I live in a historic district so most homes have a designation (which is both a blessing and a curse because any change to the exterior needs to go through the preservation society and they are sticklers, even if itās a major improvement).
Finished the Jingle all my way 5K swim today. Once the rain passed, another swimmer captured this beautiful image while I swam.
Gorgeous!
