ZICAM? Hocus Pocus?

<p>Have any of you tried Zicam for colds? I always thought that homeopathic was sort of placebo-like, but I tried it on myself, my son and daughter and it really worked. It shortened a usual 10 day cold down to 4. Now my husband’s sick and I’m pushing it on him. He’s taking it reluctantly, but I really think it works.</p>

<p>I don’t know anything about it --my d. was quite sick a few months ago, and I wanted to recommend a cold remedy and did some internet research on zicam, and that’s what I came up with (so I recommended something else). </p>

<p>I have no idea whether how common these side effects are or whether the lawsuits have any merit… I just decided after reading these sites that I didn’t want to take the risk with my daughter.</p>

<p>My 18 year old has used the Zicam swabs, at the first sign of a cold, for 2 years. She swears by it.</p>

My thinking was identical to yours, dke…but I haven’t had a full-fledged cold since I started buying it. Works for everyone else in our family too!!! :)</p>

<p>We’ve used Zicam for several years, and it works for us. We haven’t experienced any bad side affects, and we’ve used both the spray and the swabs.</p>
