Zip Code

Has anybody found that the zip code for your student, as provided on the VIP page is wrong? The zip code for the mailboxes at 1400 Greene Street was not the zip code that UPS and Verizon Wireless found. Our daughter had a cell phone problem and when Verizon came up with a different zip code it matched what UPS found. But both were different than the zip code furnished by USC. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this difference? The VIP furnished zip code was 29225 and UPS/Verizon said 1400 Greene Street (the mail room at Russell) should be 29201.

I think the university has it’s own zip code 29225-0112. My d is off campus this year and it is 29201, but all of her mail last year ( on campus) was 29225-0112. Hope that helps!

PAMom is right; USC has its own zip code for mail purposes. Use the one supplied by the school if you want your students mail to get to them without delays.

Also for packages, if you haven’t discovered FedEX Ground yet, it is the real deal. Dallas to Columbia in three days and very cost effective.

Fedex ground is ideal from Chicago as well. Two days, and an 11 pound box was onlu $8.75.
