Zucchini

Can you grow zucchini in a pot/box?

Why bother? Around here, if you spread the word to coworkers and friends that you could use some zucchini, you’ll have plenty! :)

Don’t tell my husband you want zucchini. He’ll search you out and you’ll have more than you can use :)

You can but you’ll need like a 5 gallon pot. Go over to gardenweb and search the vegtable or the container forum. You would also probably need a trellis of some kind.

You probably could but it doesn’t lend itself to container gardening as it spreads out fast and far.

I’ve grown zucchini in a large pot in the past…it contained the growth of the plant, still had a LOT of zucchini. Overall, I would say they did better planted in the ground.

I have 10 plants and not one zucchini, I’m pretty much a failure this year regarding zucchini, pot or not.

Ours have just come out of the ground. It will be weeks before we see any zukes.

was gonna add, don’t have any suggestions, but I am sure envious of those who live in climates where you’re already getting home-grown fresh vegetables.
