<p>There are **hundreds<a href=“possibly%20thousands”>/b</a> of messages that contain post number references. With the conversion/perversion, those references are now lost – the link takes you to the thread – but some of the threads contain hundreds of posts. The loss of collective wisdom is tragic.
And the loss of ‘thread-level’ updates is a hugely adverse impact to user efficiency. I don’t need or want 17 individual messages to know that a thread is updated (and, indeed, I have turned off notifications).
The loss of message time/date stamps is simply stupid.
Leave aside the horrible new UI – the loss of functionality with respect to being a useful repository of information is inexcusable.<br>
