Project Runway

New season on Bravo starts Thursday, Dec. 5.

Thanks - I haven’t watched since they changed the hosts - might pick it back up again.

Looking forward to another season.

I thought the judges made the right decision last night. And Christian seems “warmer” than he did at the beginning of last season. I did find it amusing that he kept questioning the fabric/color choice of the person who ended up winning.

I have to remember to check my dvr to see if this taped!

I think it DVR’d so I’ll watch it at some point.

Anyone know when the new Tim Gunn/Heidi Klum show starts?

Yeah, that was a no-brainer.

As I said on last year’s thread, I really thought he improved over the course of the season. He really does come across as warmer in person. So I think part of it is editing, and the bigger part is just growing into the job.

His major concerns were on the lengths and the sleeves. And the judges agreed on the sleeves

Definitely agree with who was sent home though I was not expecting it to be two designers. I think the fact that both outfits were hideous in their own way left the judges with no choice.

I really liked the winning jumpsuit.

Ya me too. I also agree about Christian being a real asset, if designers are willing to listen

I think it was a little rough sending two home on the first challenge.

I also think that I really missed Heidi, Tim and Zac. Not sure I’ll be in to this alternative cast. Christian is fine but the fake Heidi and the judges didn’t win me over at all.

I don’t remember names yet, but I did not think the guy in the bottom should have been there. His look was not nearly as bad as that other guy with the long train and was 10 times more “street wear” than that one.

Still watching? They did take a holiday break but it was back this week.

I LOVE the woman with an accent who won this week - just love her personality and I think she is BEAUTIFUL and her pieces unique and high end looking.

The guy that went. Listen, he has been on the bottom, I know. While his design may have not fully fit the challenge the workmanship was SO much better than the other bottom two guys who really got a free pass.

I had to chuckle a bit on the controversial statement he made and the reactions of everyone. :0

Also that guy who thinks he is such hot stuff - sorry I can’t remember names - the white guy who kept giving the guy who left advice - his head is so big he’s going to explode on the screen!

Still loving the show. Loved the up-cycle episode. My D has been up-cycling from Goodwill (and others) since she was 12 (she’s 31 now). I thought the reverse pink button down was incredibly chic (for a Paris daytime event), not the skirt though. Maybe with some super pencil thin trousers.

The snide remark from Tyler was certainly a zinger! His look (and I’ll quote Michael Kors) was “clothing, not fashion” - Come on, she’s going to PARIS!

Aside from being incredibly bitchy, dinner with the Kushners would still fail to meet the challenge requirements.

Anyone else still watching? Victoria was finally in the bottom. I know the judges faulted her for not featuring the prin but did they also finally realize that she has been presenting variations of the same design each week?

Brandon was certainly on to Victoria’s repetitiveness, though Nina was not. I really like the current iteration of the show, though I am less enthusiastic about this season’s crop of designers, compared to last season. The good news is, I don’t really care who gets eliminated

I’m still watching and will do so until they pry the show away with a crowbar.

The pace of the new show is odd. 90 minutes and some seems draggy and others zoom by so quickly I can’t ever remember if I saw it.

This season of designers hasn’t knocked my socks off yet, I’m patiently waiting for my ah-ha moment. I feel pretty strongly that the woman from the south (Brittany) is going to win. There are a couple I like (Chelsey & Nancy) - and at least one I really do not like (Sergio).

Excited to see the new Tim Gunn & Heidi Klum show on Amazon.

I also like Danielle. We sW her eat, but very little. Does she have the energy to make it then a few more weeks?

@bookworm - Your post reads “Danielle” do you mean Dayoung? The young woman from Korea? She’s been frail from the start, and I can’t see them placing her in a winning position - she simply doesn’t have the stamina for a (Project Runway type) high intensity fashion career (although for the most part I do like her garments).

Yes, Justamom, I don’t know how long she will last. She seems sweet.
