???

does anyone know the medium in which we get our acceptance/deferral/rejection decisions?? emails, letters, etc? how did they do it last year?

Last year, after several delays in the EA notification date, applicants received an email on Friday, Jan 14 with a link to request email notification of status. My S used the link and immediately received email informing of acceptance. The following week, the actual acceptance letter w/merit aid was received via snail mail. Letter was dated Jan 14. (I’m a mom, I keep these thing!) It is my understanding that the email notification will be available again this year.

Good luck, but relax until after winter break. I seriously doubt you will hear anything in December.

What an admissions officer said on the subject: (I e-mailed)

Students who applied for EA will be notified by January 1st. You will
be able to track your status online using the Network ID that you received in the mail. Also, letters via regular mail will also be sent.

ooo thanx
i dont like when they say BY a certain day. cuz for all we know, it could be tomorrow, or it could be dec 31…

Has anyone gotten their decision from Case Western yet? I’m still waiting anxiously.

yea im feeling the same…will someone please post when as soon as they hear something please?

I have some bad news…called the admissions office today, and decisions will not be released BY Jan 1. It turns out it will be the first week in January. Decisions will be mailed, not online (weird, I really thought they were coming online…). Something seems a little fishy, and I don’t really trust everything they’re saying, but it seems like it will be a little while before we hear.

That’s weird - about the not being sent out until January and not online, considering I logged into the Case network today and got this message:

“Congratulations! You have been admitted to Case Western Reserve University. Please look for your official letter of admission in the mail.”

Wow, congratulations, dressupandxdance…lucky you!! You just logged into the self service site and it showed up?

Thanks.

Yeah, I went to prospective students ->apply online->check application status (at the bottom), and logged in with the information they sent me in the mail when they received my application, and that’s what came up.

i just checked my application status and it also says that i have been admitted. my friend got the same message when he looked.

I sent the application online on Nov. 1 for EA. My application status check hasn’t changed- it still says, "We have received the materials necessary to review your application for Case Western Reserve University, and your application is under review by one of Case’s admission counselors. We will contact you if we determine that any additional information is necessary. " Anyone else not heard? Did those of you who have heard send in your app really early?

Congrats to everyone who has already been admitted and good luck to those who are still waiting!

ria- i sent my EA application in on 10/28.

Ria,
My S sent his app online on 11/1 also and has the same message as you. They show a date of 11/4 for the App Date Received and 11/11 for his High School info. I guess a bit more waiting.

yea i didnt get anything either, and i sent it in on 11/1 as well. but my school transcript and stuff was recieved on like 10/20.
good luck to those still waiting, and congrats to the others, we might see u next year!

Can those that know they are accepted post their stats?

My daughter logged on and was accepted online on Dec. 12

Her highest SATs: verbal 690; math 710; writing 660 (?)

She applied EA in October

Has anyone see a ‘not accepted’ message?

All of my materials were in by November 1, so if you don’t have a message it could be because some of your stuff arrived late.
