<p>Is it possible to still apply to top schools(HYPSYM and the like) with a math grade of 70 on a midterm? It’s the first time I’d scored below an 89 in math.</p>
<p>Why of course!
It is possible to apply if you score > 33%, which is the passing grade for most schools.</p>
<p>However, if you are asking about the possibility in terms of * time *, then you have until 10:00 AM 2nd January, IST for most colleges with a 1st Jan Deadline.</p>
<p>If this is the weakest link of your application, you should be a happy man.</p>
<p>I had several A-'s and B’s (basically between 60 and 80) - in math, english, hindi…my last math grade that was sent for SCEA was horrendous (lowest in class) but I still got in to one of those schools. They are not trying to quantify you after all, they are trying to make sure you are a hard worker and one 70 does not take away from your many other terms of good grades.</p>
