<p>I just have a few questions. Please bear with me as I am the first of my family house to go into college…</p>

<p>Are the Michigan Learning Communities worth it? If so, I am planning to major in Mechanical Engineering. Should I go for Living Arts or Michigan Research Community?</p>

<p>I have paid the deposit, finished the housing application, accepted the financial aid package, turned in my financial aid documents, and am doing some of the online placement tests prior the orientation dates. Is there anything else I have to do other than get a plane ticket to Michigan?</p>

<p>Living Arts is in Bursley so I would sign up for that only if you want to be on North Campus. MRC is in MoJo - a great dorm and great location but I would do that only if you are interested in the research component. I think MRC is competitive for admission.</p>

<p>There is a checklist of things to do somewhere online. You didn’t say you signed up for orientation.</p>
