Yeah and all he/she said was what APs should I take.

No offense, I had IB Diploma and had to take Six exams for that and took 7 APs and it was torture! AP BIology was pretty difficult because the things you learn are pretty developed. Don’t Kill yourself. Do you want your grades to suffer? And have you thought about SATs, SAT II’s, and ACT that you have to retake and/or will take???

Haha, me too.
But I have 12*-13, not 17.
17 is impossible.

this is very very stupid

Next year, I’m taking all 31 of the AP Tests, and all 20 SAT II Subject Tests. Teehee it’s going to be a fun year! Well, at least that’s what the voices in my head tell me! (Shhh…keep it down in there, i’m trying to study!) twitch

in case anyone hasn’t noticed, OP hasn’t responded.

trollll…

^lawlz

@OP AP exam x 17? You are joking, right?

My friend took 3 AP exams. 5 on Lit and WHist, 2 on Calc AB.

He’s going to Columbia. Its not all about tests, buddyboy.

That said… I self studied Bio this year, and you’re out of your god damned mind if you think you can do anything but half-ass it and still have time to do all of those other pure-memorization tests. Nohguhnnahappen.

Notice that (s)he hasn’t responded… I call a bluff.

But if someone really did want to take all of those in a year, I’d say you’re not as smart as you think you are.

You crazy.

I totally agree; I did something close to “bluffing” when I first came to CC. Somewhere on CC, I have proudly beamed that I would be taking eight AP exams, but I ended up taking 5.

I love how the OP is a pretty avid poster on this forum and doesn’t respond to his own thread. ■■■■■.

Firstly, I am not a ■■■■■.

The reason why I had this thread was because someone thought I could do it, which obviously I knew I couldn’t.

I go to a school which doesn’t offer AP exams and where people think AP exams are rather easy, I don’t know why.

That’s why there’s this thread. It’s to prove them wrong that it’s NOT that easy.

So thank you for all your comments.

So now, I am going to take:
Chemistry
Physics B
Calculus BC
Statistics
Macroeconomics
Microeconomics

While 17 may be too many, I think you probably cut it down too much.

Assuming you’re capable of taking all those classes and getting straight A’s - which, being a native chinese speaker, I’d assume your parents expect you to do (hey, experience 8D) - you can think of it this way.

If you pay attention in class and succeed throughout the year with decent retention,
Stats doesn’t require more than 2 hours of studying.
Both econs don’t require more than an hour of studying.
Lang isn’t something you can study for anyways, so you should go ahead and take it.

Which leaves us with:

Calc BC
Chemistry
and Physics (Pick one ._.)

However, you probably could also pull off two self studies - Chinese and Psychology.

People may tell you chinese is hard, but it all depends on your level of being a native speaker. That’s not for me to judge, but if you take a practice test and its a cakewalk - which it should be (at least the listening portions) - you’re probably good.

And with 3 main AP’s to study for, you can definitely fit in time throughout the year for a bit of a psych selfstudy, especially considering how easy it is, and how easy people say it is.

Don’t lie. I’ve seen you post about your 17 exams in quite a few other threads for the purpose of gloating.

I was trying to gather responses.

I learnt my lesson (I hope) and won’t be taking that many AP exams.

This makes me wonder though… I see the forum in 9:30 KST, literally plastered by your posts.

It seems like your list is pretty much similar to mine when I took these exams in my junior year. I took Chem, Phys B, Calc BC, Mic and Psych. I also took leadership roles in 3 EC’s: Model United Nations, the School Magazine Club and Math Club. Even 5 AP’s were hard for me, for I had to self-study 3 subjects, not mentioning the 3 hours gone from transportation between my school and my home. The exams created a lot of pressure, deprived me of sleep, and even changed my attitude into a monstrous one (I won’t clarify), much to my consternation. Why am I ranting? It’s because studying too much and prepping for 17 exams will probably put you into an unpleasant experience, if not more unpleasant one than I had.

You can add more to your list. Like Psychology/Environmental science/Statistics.

But 17 exams, some being extreme killers, is exaggerating lol.

“Stats doesn’t require more than 2 hours of studying.
Both econs don’t require more than an hour of studying.
Lang isn’t something you can study for anyways, so you should go ahead and take it.”

wrong, wrong, and wrong again.

Moreover, if you have no intention of using an AP exam to gain college credit or pursuing the subject in college, there is little reason to take the AP. Throwing on extra APs for self study with the clear intention of loading your schedule is not going to impress anybody.

It may be wrong for you, but it still will vary from person to person.
