<p>I’m a prospective student and I was wondering how expensive going out in Charlottesville is. Is it possible to go out on the weekends and spend less than like 20 or 30 dollars?</p>
<p>it completely depends on what you want to do. if your definition of going out is going to a bar on saturday and getting 3 or 4 beers–then of course you can go out for under $20. if your definition of going out is going to a movie and then getting a burger–sure you can do it for $20. there are concerts that cost $20 or less to go to. </p>
<p>of course you can easily spend $100 at bars every night of the week if you are so inclined.</p>
<p>And if you want to take a date to a concert at JPJ, it’s more like $20 x 10.</p>
<p>It is amazing how many top acts are coming/have come to John Paul Jones, but it sure isn’t cheap.</p>
