^Delontewest: Ouch… you must have filled in the circle for 1 rather than 0.

i know i put 310 in the boxes so i must have misgrided. hmmm they must take bubbles over boxes then. i still don’t believe i would do that though. maybe cb’s wrong.

I think there’s a way to have them check your sheet (for a price of course) but I wouldn’t recommend doing it unless you are absolutely sure that you grided it right and that the semifinalist cutoff will increase to 213 (which is unlikely, since this year’s junior PSAT scores aren’t as good as last year’s scores).

^^^ u sure? how do you know this years scores are lower. that would be great to know.

^^^ that would deff be great to know! hoping nj’s went down by about a point, lol. otherwise i just make it, and i wanna be safe!

well I can confirm that the writing curve this year for Wednesday is harsher than last year. I got the exact same number of questions wrong as last year with no omits and my score went down 2 points.

"■■■. AM I ONLY ONE THAT UNDERPERFORMED ON THIS TEST? f

**** MY LIFE. **** MY LIFE."

I sucked too fresh101

205 - 69CR 75M 61W (missed 7 of the last 10 questions)

My writing score is stupid. I got 800 on writing on the SAT as a sophomore. I think that national merit should be determined by SAT score, which is way more important. Why does the “practice” SAT that takes only 2.5 hours matter more than the SAT?

By the way, I got a 2320 on the Nov SAT so there is no relation between SAT and PSAT.

^ I am also mad because some students at our school who have C or D averages and don’t give s*** about school got scores for national merit. I have a 2320 SAT, a 4.0 with 4 APs, and many extracurriculars but I don’t get national merit because I botched the writing section. The National Merit Corporation should rethink how they do this.

New here I don’t quite get it - if curve is harsher than last year i.e. you get less point for the same number of questions - doesn’t it mean that test itself was easier than last year? Does it in turn mean that cutoff may go up not down from 211 on Ohio last year?

I finally got my score without the score report, so I don’t know how I did on each section. But I’m super happy with a 228 (OH). Good luck to those still waiting on their scores.

Well it’s sort of relieving to know there is someone out there in my situation as well but im still mad because I just don’t see how PSAT’s have any correlation or reliablility themselves in terms of scoring in the same range–it’s what they call SEM. On all the PSAT booklets that i bought from CB, i scored 209, 209. 211, 216, 216, 217, 219. How the hell do these tests have any freaking correlation? And you know the weird thing is? That i scored 80 on math for all except the first 209 and i barely made the 70 threshold on the 2009 one.

My school got the tests yesterday, but they aren’t revealing scores until Thursday.

Man silverturtle… if I knew that I wouldn’t be able to wait. I would probably devise some sort of diabolical scheme to gain entry into my school in the night so I could get my PSAT scores, lol.

@Fresh & nmsfsat: You guys must have just had a bad day or something, I’m sorry. Personally I don’t know if I did as well as I think (I could have made a ton of mistakes, I barely got any sleep the night before the test) so I might be in the same boat as you guys. However, your scores are still something to be proud of.

I got a 203. ■■■. I really thought I could get 210+, especially after practice tests.

Should I self-destruct?

Got a 212, praying I qualified.

GL to everyone else

nmsfsat, your problem gives me hope for myself. haha. hopefully i cant still get a high SAT score.

Hey, on a new note, has anyone received any junk mail/email from any colleges yet?

^I have. Most of them are from random colleges I’ve never heard of.

240 baby!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY!!!

^For some reason I doubt that…

@Harambee: Agh, I must have put the wrong address on my PSAT then (I just moved to VA, didn’t really know my address). What about emails?
