Deerfield Interview like 45 min: I thought I talked too much but I guess I didn’t. He was expressed of how I knew so much about the school. I told him the 10 things about Deerfield taught me everything I wanted to know!

Hotchkiss Interview almost an hour: I DID IT OVER THE PHONE! Some people here in CC was like Phone interview is for eliminate applicants…That’s WRONG! My interviewer said it was the best phone interview she has ever got since 15 years.

General Comments: I’m fluent in French and speak English for 3 years! i talked a lot about being an immigrant in my essays and interview.

Lindha-Congrat’s on your acceptances. Your great personality come’s through on cc. I know you will have a wonderful experience at boarding school.

That is so awesome Lindha. I’m glad you got accepted with full FA to more than one school so you have some choices. Do you know which school you are leaning toward?

I just received a phone call from my Deerfield Interviewer almost begging me to choose their schools because he knows I had a lot of offers to choose from. He said he was going to call again.

I feel bad because I was leaning toward Exeter now I just don’t know.
haha my Exeter interviewer added me on facebook. I dont know but it made me laugh!

All things being equal money wise, DA and PEA are very different schools. I don’t believe better or worst, just different.

Ask yourself some questions?

Big or small
Math/science vs humanities/english
sit down meals, yes or no
more or less personal guidance?

This is a question only you can answer.

Go back, get a feel.

When I took my d to visit, i asked every student tour guide, where else did you get in and why did you choose their school…

0ver 90% said they got in somewhere else, but when they went to revisit “it felt like the place they fit in and belonged”. Which school it was didnt matter the answer was the same, go figure.

That is what I believe is what you are looking for…where YOU fit.

Only you can make that determination.

Good luck and I wish you well in finding your fit :-0

Congrats Lindha! I was also accepted at both Deerfield and Exeter (and waitlisted at Andover), so it’ll be a tough choice…

Alexz, what do you mean by one school will have more personal guidance and one will have less? Which is which? By personal guidance, do you mean stricter rules or more guidance counselor help? Like, college application help?

Will do, Lindha! If you don’t mind me asking, since French is your first language, where are you from? (I wouldn’t want to assume France and assume incorrectly, considering how many French-speaking countries there are :p)
