2010 USNEWS Top National Universities - OFFICIAL

so is Upenn still considered a lower ivy? and before you beat me up for the term lower ivy…I don’t like nor use the term…I am just responding to some of the posts. I mean where does a non HYP have to be on the list to be considered a real ivy and not Ivy lite as some from HYP call the others. just a question for those who say there are tiers 1, 2 and even 3 in the Ivies.

I think people will continue to call Penn a ‘lesser Ivy’. They have for the past ten years, and Penn has been in the top 4 in 4 of the last 8 years. Haha, ‘Ivy Lite’. I hadn’t heard that before.

I would say penn is an average ivy.

If Penn ever jumped HYoP over/under on how many CC’s heads would explode.

I second the request for the top 50 LAC. Please :-)

Also, “up and coming schools” would be very interesting if possible.

THANKS, I know it is a lot of typing…

Where the hell is the top 50 LAC list?

Page 1 -_-.

Barrons do you have the list for top 100 research universities?

Upenn will still be a lower ivy mentioned with Cornell. Don’t take this the wrong way. Cornell is a good school, very similar to Upenn.

How about the rest of the National U’s, top tier, after 75. I see 1-50 listed and 51-75. Can we get the rest of the top tier U’s?

what were the overall scores for the top ten?

Yes but I’m not typing it. If you want a specific ask

US News may just add the 75th percentile scores for Math and Reading. This is inaccurate, but many do it. A lot of kids will score 800 math and 680 reading, and vice versa. I don’t believe 25% of kids at Harvard scored 1590 or above, either.

^^ Or wait till tonight…you’ll see the whole list (without details) on USNews website.

Barrons i just private messaged you thanks.

barrons,

I would really appreciate the overall scores for just the top 5 LACs.

Thanks

^ barrons probably already used the LAC section of his magazine for toilet paper. ;)

I have much higher standards for my TP.

williams 100
Amherst 96
Swat 94
Midd 92
Wellesley 92

What place was Hamilton in the liberal arts ranking?
