So since there are a lot of posts about the AP Pass Calculator, do you guys really think it would apply for this year? I mean, everyone said the test was really easy… so would that decrease the curve?

I felt that the writing portion was fairly easy, but the multiple choice was very strange. It asked completely obscure and ambiguous questions that my practice tests never asked. I’ve been getting high 60s on my practices and I can honestly say that I would be happy with a 55 on this one. :(

@theking101
Keep in mind the average cc poster is not the average apush test taker.

@Diagnostician
me too. i usually guess on 5 on practice tests but i guessed on at least 15 today.

Guys use this calculator. Being conservative I got a 4 using this Calc. Ap pass seems to generous lol.

Yes @nervousjim as stated before, some schools force kids to take this class so it brings the curve up alot.

@nervousjim: I HOPE! These posts are kinda scaring me… /:

help please!!
i wrote i believe very strong essays for #3 and #5, but i know i had a few errors and am not sure if they will really hurt me. for #3 I talked about federalists, anti-federalist, and democratic-republicans, how they led to sectional conflicts, issues over slavery, missouri compromise, and then out of the time period how it all led to civil war=disunity. but i mixed up jefferson and hamilton saying they were part of opposite parties. how much will this hurt me? also for question #5 i talked all about deb dubios, washington, garvey, malcolm x, MLK but then began mentioning johnson’s great society even though this was out of the time period. do things like this kill your frq score? thanks!

I’m not sure why they did that. I just hope that my essays will balance it out. Do they take off for minor factual mistakes, such as saying Gorbachev’s policies of Glasnost and Parastroika helped ease Soviet-U.S. policies during Nixon’s presidency? They were during Reagan ;/

@ohgoodness hah dw many no ones gonna get 100%
use this calculator:[APUSH Score Predictor and Calculator - WikiNotes](APUSH Score Predictor and Calculator - WikiNotes) -put worse scores than u think u got and see how u did. This calculator seems better than ap pass

@EMILY 3193, don’t worry about it too much. They grade you on what you get right and not the stuff thats wrong. They will ignore it

When comparing to 2006 cut score of 111 I thought of some important
Curve factors: positive means harder to score well, lower means easier.

Multiple choice tests this year seem harder. -4
This test was really hard and unlike practice tests I’ve seen.

Many would say the free response was easy. +5
Many classes didn’t learn up to Nixon. -3
The 2006 MC was average and it’s DBQ/FRE was death. +5

More kids are taking exams and failing. APUSH enrollment is expanding with kids who aren’t very great AP preparers. -2

Net +1. Probably 112-115 for a 5??
What do you think?

I’m totally confused. I guess we’ll find out in July :(

@Iemit737 I agree that this is fairly accurate. This is the same score range that websites like [AP Pass - AP Us Calculator](AP U.S. History Test Score Calculator - AP Pass) and some others are suggesting.

I am just worried because I made little mistakes in my essays, like saying the Tet Offensive was in the early 70s.

@nervousjim: But people here make my essays seem so DULL! Its kinda nerve-racking /:

Juan: You might be OK, since it was in 1968 (part of the time constraints in the DBQ). As long as you explained that you know what it was, being off a couple of years will probably not hurt you that much.

The Tet offensive was a fact we could use right? The period was from 1968 and it happened at that time, right…

It really bothers me that I literally spent like 6 hours preparing for Gilded Age essays, imperialism essays, reconstruction essays, and many others, for no reason. I WANT THIS INFORMATION OUT OF MY HEAD NOW!!!

Test was SUPER easy though, predicting 75±/80, only had to guess on about 3

DBQ, i am a Nixon expert! I was so happy, probably a 9

did FRQ 2 and 4… very strong essays hoping for 8s at least
