For the folks that interviewed with UCSF tetrad for the first weekend, do you recall how many days it was before you heard back? >1 week?

I believe people heard back the Thursday after interviews.

@turkeylurkey - i emailed them last week. the admissions committee met today, so decisions should be out soon

I accepted my BU offer today, guys i am turning down my acceptances from Tufts, Drexel, and UConn and have decline some interviews. I am excited about BU anyone joining BU Immunology program?

@immuno2011

Congrats! Just curious, when did you get accepted from UConn and Tufts? I interviewed at both last week and haven’t heard from either. I think the UConn lady said they would finalize in mid March.

@Imm2010

I heard from Tufts last Friday. I did not get a formal acceptance from UConn yet, however i emailed and called the director and explained that i need to make a decision since Tufts gave me 2 weeks to decide and he told me that i will be accepted in their problem and to just wait for the official email around March 7th.

I was considering UConn very serious as i live very close to it but their stipend is really low and they cut the health care out of the very low stipend + i checked and found out the CT has the 3rd highest taxes in the country and 3.8% higher than MA add all that there is nothing much left from the stipend. Also i felt that BU had better applicants than UConn and BU research budget NIH funds is 4X UConn.

I hope i made the right decision, it was freaking me out.

good luck Imm2010

Has anyone heard from Tulane university Biomedical Sciences program. I contacted the school and they said they were going to start another round of interviews. It March now and I am getting antsy…anyone gotten an interview with them yet?

Got placed on hold at MCW. I’m extremely worried now.

@immuno2011

Thanks! I am actually in your position too, I will be accepting UCI’s CMB offer and will thus be moving across the country (yet again!). I found that their stipend, though pretty low, is substantially raised after the first year and plus their health benefits include an actual dental and vision coverage. I’ll post my “finalizing” figures in the next week :D

I am actually quite excited as I will be shifting gears from pure immunology to a more physiology based lab studying immunoimaging.

Immuno2011

I know this is not relevant to you anymore since you are not going to Tufts, but no school that offers you a financial package can require you to make a decision before April 15.

@rabbitstew
Thank you for the info. I just checked the gradcafe and saw someone got an interview from JHU neuroscience today. This person is international, but I am crossing my fingers that there may be still a chance.

Hi, I’m just wondering: How does the adcomm rate you during interviews? What are their bases for accepting/rejecting you?

My friend and I interviewed through skype in the same program last week. While her interviewers basically just had a pleasant chat with her, mine really quizzed me on my research. Overall, I think I didn’t make a very good impression as I always panic when under pressure, especially when I know that so much is at stake.

So I don’t know. I wish my interview were as easy as hers. :(

@ bmshopeful

I haven’t seen anything on gradcafe. I applied and someone else on here applied and neither of us have heard from them either. I called and they said something like it could be any day. I’m stressing out cause the only reason I haven’t accepted my UGA offer is cause I’m interested in the Tulane interview.

@ Elocin

I wouldn’t worry too much. From my interview weekend, a lot of the current students say that they were on the waitlist for a while too. I think I recall a stat like half of the waitlist eventually got offers. How’d your 4 interviews go?

Acceptance to Weill Cornell Pharmacology this morning.

wheres, you are killing me. i’m waiting to hear from weill cornell pbsb, and now i’ll be checking obsessively, as you are the first program to hear back. ughhh.

Please post if you hear from Tetrad! So the waiting game can commence…

@ sunkist7. That was very nice for you to reply. Helped a lot. Have two phone interviews next week. All the best! Really.

I interviewed at Univ of Virginia MCDB program on Feb 4th 2011 and I still havent heard from them. They said it would take them 2/3 weeks. I was wondering if I should mail them/call them considering their last recruiting weekend was on Feb 26/28. What do u guys suggest?.

Also has anyone heard from them?
