@sdlifesci: I just got an admittance call from a professor at UCSF! So looks like they’re starting to contact folks.

Has anyone heard back from UChicago Microbio? I interviewed there way back in the beginning of Jan. so it’s been almost 2 months. I doubt it’d take this long for an acceptance right? I searched through this forum and it looks like the acceptance turnaround wasn’t that long but wasn’t sure of the dept.

@turkeylurkey - thanks for posting, and congratulations!

@ Turkeylurkey… when did u interview with UCSF?

@Elocin

I was placed on hold, too! So frustrating… I was accepted at the University of Colorado-Denver BSP and Dartmouth MCB, though, so I will get to go to school no matter what, but I was still hoping for better news from MCW.

Thanks! And I was at the Tetrad interview that took place last friday.

@CompuBio

I guess I am not alone!!! I was anticipating a rejection. What program are you interested in? Keep me updated if you hear anything from them

anyone applied to school of biological sciences in University of Nebraska-lincoln?
Have you got any information about the interviews?
Thanks.

So, I haven’t heard anything from Stanford cancer bio or Harvard BBS, and I know their interview/visit weekends have passed, but does anyone know if it is still possible to be accepted to these programs if I receive external funding from NSF or NDSEG? Has anyone heard of this happening for biomedical science programs??
Thanks!

Anyone interviewed at Baylor TBMM 2nd interview weekend heard back yet? Its been two weeks. I became worried. Thank you.

@CompuBio - U have been accepted to UGA? i havent heard from them yet. i had my interview on the 8th of feb. i even e-mailed them abt 2 weeks back but just got to hear that the application is with the admissions committee.
No acceptances yet.

@compbio2011

I am not sure what you mean but the letter I receive in the mail from Tufts said that I have two weeks to let them know

@GradDreams

Yeah I got accepted on the 14th my interview was Jan 27-29. I loved the school and am about 99% sold on it! I applied to the Genetics Department what program are you looking at?

I’ve been doing some research and haven’t really seen anything, but has anyone heard back from UIllinoisUC? I know Notre Dame is sending out their acceptances/rejections this week but I’d like to have all 4 decisions in hand…not that I can afford their outrageous out of state tuition without a funding package

Just got my Weill Cornell BCMB acceptance by email! :)

accepted to cornell weill allied program today!

Hey! If anyone who was at the Weill Cornell interview weekend could PM me and let me know their general impressions of the school I would love to hear about it. I wasn’t able to make it there and did my interview via skype.

Thanks and Congrats to all who got in!

Did anyone hear from Weill Immunology?!!!?!?!?!

@ CompuBio- I have applied for the program in Cellular Biology. International Student so had a phone interview.

To those who haven’t heard back from UCSF Tetrad— don’t worry yet! I know of people who got calls a couple days ago, and I got an email yesterday and an email today. It seems each person will be contacted by different faculty by different means at their own pace.

However, I did hear that out of the 80 they were interviewing they were accepting 40 (just 50%), possibly a couple less… so if you don’t hear good news, I think its just because they are having to turn away qualified people because of how few spots there are…
