They put us up at the Hotel Roger Williams, which was charming. I don’t know about the bus thing since I flew in from ND, but I don’t think that they’ll balk since they haven’t really specified that you choose a specific variety of a mode of transport.

@Jeanx11: I flew to NYU from a city that is just about as close as DC is (they just told me they were booking, didn’t even bring up train/bus etc.) They were more than happy to pay for that flight, so I wouldn’t be worried about taking the Acela. Do whatever you feel comfortable with. I wish I had taken the train, only because once I had gone through security/waited for the flight, it would have taken the same amount of time. Plus, trains are more comfortable than buses and like boyinterrupted said, they didn’t specify.

Hotel Roger Williams was VERY nice. I really did like NYU, and I’m definitely considering attending. It is a very fun weekend.

I am in the midst of my crazy interview week- I was at Yale and BU the past few days, and I’m off to Vanderbilt in a few days…but then I’m done and just get to play the waiting game! Good luck!

I heard back from them Wednesday (day after) from Berkeley MCB. From my understanding you still have a chance because most of the offers go out after all the interview weekends. Good luck!

Yea, well today my PI said he’d heard good things from the Duke Dev Bio profs, although they’re not sending anything official over my way yet. That’s slightly comforting.

I’m just trying to figure out if the Berkeley peeps just were picking up on my vibe that I might not be a great fit there, which I had at the beginning, but my interest in the program really piqued later in the second day. I just don’t really wanna blow my Stanford/UCSD interviews, if that’s what indeed happened at Berkeley. I’m not a big fan of overthinking things, and this whole waiting business doesn’t help that.

Just out of sheer curiosity, does anyone know how Notre Dame’s admission process works? I’ve had limited contact with them (primarily from a POI asking me if I’d want to switch to a PhD) but no interview offer and no rejection…so I’m a little confused. Any help guys?

I was asked for additional letters of support two days before interview weekend. I am kinda worried. Does anyone know what happened here and how would it affect my application?

Does anyone know the acceptance rate of Caltech Biology after interview?
I am an international student and was invited for on site interview… getting a bit nervous these days as I have only got three interviews so far…
Thanks for any inputs!!!

Awesome! I guess we’ll be seeing each other there! I’m sure it will be fine. If they want to interview you they must see something that they like! At least, that’s what I tell myself because my stats are not that great.

My friend’s been accepted to Columbia, Weill Cornell/Sloan Kettering, and Rockefeller.

She’s having trouble deciding between these amazing options, and unfortunately, I don’t know enough about them to form any opinions (I wasn’t even aware there was a joint Weill-GSK program!). Any impressions, guys?

Accepted this evening to Hopkins Neuroscience! Good luck to those of you still waiting, and congratulations on those of you who already got accepted!

@kryptonsa36: when did your friend hear bacck from Rockefeller and is she domestic or international?

@immun2011: I emailed Yale BBS-immunobiology and they said that my application was not chosen for the one interview weekend. Reading between the lines, I’ve assumed that to be a rejection.

I am sorry to hear about Yale, however i did go to their recruitment weekend, i have to tell you that Yale is a great place BUT New Haven sucks big time. I did not like New Haven that much. I did a google search and found that crime rates in the area increased a lot.

Basically there is only Yale in town and nothing much to do. There is to be Bristol Myers they moved out and now Pfizer which had a presence in New Haven now they moving a big chunk of not all of the research facilities to Cambridge, MA creating more unemployemnt in the area making NEw Haven worst i think.

I have not gotten much offers yet but most places i applied have not sent any out, i hope i get some options.

I would like Yale because its a great place for research but i dont know how i feel to spend about 5 years or more in New Haven
