2011 UCLA Transfers: The Central Thread for Discussion and Decisions

i’m seriously hoping the fin aid is the main indicator due to previous years

Can anyone access bruin jobs in ursa

^^ I can 10charrr

You can access the last link in the lower right hand corner?

Wow, this is getting reallllyyy crazy now. I cannot access this. It says “Invalid student ID”

OMG…now my FAD document tracking is saying “No Document Tracking Information available for this Award Period”. :(( :frowning: :(

did you have tracking before?? because mine disappeared a day or two ago

Don’t worry guys. I can see my financial aid info on ursa and i was able to access my undergraduate housing application before it was removed, but i get the same “invalid student id” message for the bruin jobs link. That is probably because it’s only accessible to students who enrolled in summer courses. @Ella89- did you enroll in summer classes?

Yeah I get invalid student Id as well. Just wanted to check…

I didn’t register as summer student but I can access bruin jobs link.

@addy: Were you able to see your document tracking before?

^ how did your document tracking change all of a sudden? did it say complete with a date next to it before today?

The jobs link and work study links are separate…

looks like the admissions office is playing games with us, changing bits and pieces of info for each of us, and coming on this forum and laughing their butts off!! :D

No guys, Sorry I’m wrong…I thought job bulletin LOL nvm…it’s also “invalid student id” for me.

^ Wait so did your document tracking change or not? LOL you’re freaking me out!

hey everyone! I’m freaking out just as much as everyone, I really want to go to UCLA and am so eager till monday. here are some stats and i wanna see what everyone thinks! :)

I’m at Moorpark Community College
-Major: Communications
-GPA: 3.7
-Prereq: all completed (econ, psych, sociology, anthro) and in the middle of taking stats with a high A
-EC: Phi theta kappa honors society, multicultural club, student government
I work at chili’s also and did lots of fundraising for st. jude’s research hospital
-Tap certified

what do you all think, how competitive is it to be a comm major? does anyone plan on appealing if rejected?

^^ Because communications is a super-impacted major it is very difficult to predict your chances. Everything will depend on your essay. Your gpa is generally speaking very good, but the average for communications was somewhere around 3.9 if I recall correctly. So you are probably borderline and your essays will be the make or break part

@victor5555 damn, haha yeah I think I wrote some pretty good essays, I got a lot of feedback and it was all about my work with st. judes and student government. thank you for the reply  so you really think that the essay is a big thing? i thought they mostly look at numbers :/

UCLA said they read personal statements twice LOL :)
