<p>you dont need to send in your SIR to see your financial aid. i called UCLA b/c i had the same message (we have not recieved your fafsa or whatever) and the lady said “opps, i will post it to your account, should be viewable by 11am tomorrow”.</p>
<p>that was yesterday and it showed up last night.</p>

<p>did anyone get in with a C by the time they applied? i might get a C and i am about to explode… it is not my pre-req and i have 4.0 GPA so far, but that C… is gonna drop my GPA. Is C horrible? are 2 Bs better??? AHHHHHHHHH someone please help.</p>

what’s ur GPA?? TAP certified?? if so, wat was ur phil major GPA?? how many phil pre-reqs did u take?</p>
<p>asd…it depends on how itll affect your GPA. i spoke to admission today and the lady there said that one would need at least a 3.8 to be competitive for international development. if your C brings your gpa below that grade point average, then consider talking to your teacher about makeup work or extra credit…or take extra classes to try to boost your GPA.</p>

whew reading that was a bit of relief. was it 3.6 ur pre req GPA or overall? also, did by the time u apply, did u apply with 3.6?? or did you get to 3.6 after you have applied to UCLA???</p>
<p>@ asd - 3.8 overall…but if your C is in a pre-req then that isn’t good either. when are you applying? if its for fall 2012, you still have the summer and fall to bring up your GPA. what will your gpa be after the C? i spoke to the admin office today again…she said that i was “an extremely competitive applicant”…but my GPA just wasn’t high enough for IDS. I have a ~3.65…TONS of relevant EC’s and work experience and awards. goes to show how numbers based UCLA decisions can be. just do what you can to keep a high GPA if you really want IDS.</p>

<p>Really Scared–UCLA Admission Getting Rescinded:</p>
<p>I withdrew a month ago from one of my science courses this semester due to the fact that I was really struggling in the class and attaining a good grade was far out of reach. I informed UCLA of the change and instead of the “Congratulations” page, I receive a letter notifying me that the university is reviewing my change(s). Do you know what I could expect or what reasons they would rescind a transfer student? Dropping the science class has not affected me in regards to the 60 units (I have a little above 60 units right now), my IGETC has been complete since last Fall, and this course is NOT a prerequisite for the major I have been accepted for (Anthropology). My GPA will not be compromised since I am earning an A in my other class and expect to earn that grade by the conclusion of the spring semester. I’m still severely worried Please let me know what to expect</p>

<p>I had 2 C’s and 1 B in one semester when I applied. To make things worse, the 2 C’s were received in my major prereqs. Rest were all A’s though with nearly 60 units. I got in as a psychology major. A C isn’t going to ruin your chances unless your major is super impacted. No worries.</p>
<p>I also received a “C” in one of my pre-reqs and I still got accepted! 
I’m a philosophy major tho!</p>
