Good Luck!

Take Care,
Lisa

Reminder this is Now Open!

Does each lodge send the same number of winners on ? We have three lodges in equal distance of us and we’re wondering if it makes a strategic difference which one to drop off application to.

I don’t know about the lodges sending on the same number of apps …I do know that individual lodges have their own number of scholarships (smaller scale tha Nat’l of course) so it may be possible to win more $ on a local level depending on which lodge you drop at. Guidance office at school may have the $ info for the local.

I handed in my application today!

Does anyone know the process/timeline/ local award / state award info. I dropped mine off on wednesday, but I don’t really know too much about the program. How many people move on from each district to state? from state to nationals? When do we hear anything from district, state, etc… Thanks for any and all of your help!

D heard from the local lodge today, she has been awarded a one time scholarship from them, and her application is being forwarded to the next level for further review. SO happy for her!

Congratulations Mom2M !

Wow, she already got a response? That was really quick…

She already heard D: Haha i’m jealous. Wanna hear back so bad! But Congrats!

Thanks, all. We were surprized at how quickly we heard from the Elks. They actually called on Saturday (deadline was Friday), we received the letter yesterday. I hope you all hear good news, soon!

My son received a letter on Saturday advising him that he has moved on to the next level of competition. This was from a lodge in Royal Oak, MI.

Congrats, mythreekids!

DD just got a letter of her 1000.00 one time scholarship from local lodge and moving on to the next level! Yahoo!!

Anyone from California hear anything yet ?!? I’m so anxious now that CCers are getting their replies so soon :(

I worked very hard on my app. I’m pretty nervous.

Sent from my MB200 using CC App

I got a call at 9pm I think on Friday (?), from my local Elks lodge in Oregon. They didn’t saying anything about advancing to the next level, but I do have to attend a luncheon and I have to be interviewed on the 7th of January. Not sure what the interview is for though, either getting a local scholarship, or to advance.

Pretty cool though to even be considered in the competition (haha I’ve learned to put my standards pretty low in scholarship competitions, because I don’t want to be disappointed in the end).

I’m from California and I haven’t heard back yet

Same. Any Californians receive notice? So nervous!

I just got a call this morning that I will receive a $500 scholarship from my lodge, I also got a letter a couple days after the deadline that my application had moved on in the process.
