Just wondering, would it be better for me to change my second choice major to COLA? Or just keep it UGS?

Applied to COLA with a 3.36… really nervous cuz my gpa is pretty low. But my essays and resume are pretty strong. I hope I get accepted…

based on this link for 2011 transfers i think you about the same chance of UGS vs COLA jp6garcia

I was asking because a lot of people here got accepted with 3.4s and I will have at least a 3.5+.

FYI to all , I broke down and called today! I was told simply that it is taking longer than normal and just keep checking the online status. Also, there is no guidance on expected date of notification.

@Lanvinboy14 Those statistics are really scary… Lol I hope that the 4000 out of 6500 applicants that get rejected yearly just have low GPAs or something.

Has anyone who applied for summer transfer not received their admission decision yet? I applied as a summer transfer and just called to ask about the delay, I was getting worried because the summer classes start in 3 weeks and my application is still in review. I spoke to some lady and she told me that there was no guarantee that I would even receive notice before summer classes began and if that was the case, I would just have to either wait until the 2nd summer session or I would have to wait until the Fall. I asked what the latest date was to expect a decision but she said there really wasn’t one and that I’d have to just wait from now until August. This is incredibly frustrating.

Earlier in this thread I said that I’d update anyone on UT’s decision on reconsidering my admission post-appeal. The answer is still no. To anyone who has taken dual enrollment classes or is thinking about (and is reading this), be prepared for any poor grades made during high school to bite you on the butt big time.

If you don’t mind me asking, what were your stats when you appealed?

So I finished my second semester last Friday and today was the deadline for my professors to post my grades. All my grades all posted now. Should I wait a week before those grades are posted on my transcript and not just online? Or should I just send it in now?

Edit: I couldn’t wait. I sent in my final transcript. Now I just have to wait for them to get it.

Pulled off a 4.0. Feels good especially since I was taking Calculus. Hopefully it’s good enough for RTF.

I don’t know why you would be worried with a perfect GPA. It’s not like it could be any better.

Accepted!!!

How long after they get your final transcript does it say complete? They got my transcript today but it still says incomplete. I’m guessing they haven’t processed it yet?

Same exact thing is happening with me. They said if it still says that by Friday then let them know. Otherwise it’s normal. I think it’s because they received it but they haven’t processed it yet.

@uttransfer28 congrats!
do you mind posting your stats? and were you in the other group of transfers who had to wait till the Spring semester grades were final?

Accepted into special education
60+ hours
3.6 GPA
3 letters of rec
Strong essays

Hey @Jebspring1 check your mystatus page. Mine says complete now! Anybody have a rough estimate as to when we will get a decision?

I can’t believe it. By a month’s time the wait will be over. I really hope I get accepted.

Just sent in final grades looking at a 3.93 final gpa. For all the people who had to wait for 30 hours have you started looking for a place to live? is there an easy way to do this. I’ve heard finding an apartment can be a pain do you need to get a realtor?

I am on the top of the waitlist for the ICC Co-ops. I’ve talked to them and they said if I am accepted I should be able to get a double as people are buying out of their contracts.
