2013/2014 Fall Transfer Thread

But my application says ‘complete’ even without the spring grades. I have way more than 30 hours even without the spring grades. My application has been complete for a few days. I emailed the admission officer, and she said that they want the spring transcripts. Oh man, my professor made a mistake and gave me a C instead of an A for a subject, and that really hurts my gpa. I can’t get the grade to change till Fall. I’m just lost now.

Sorry should have clarified. By we I meant the few of us who had less than 30 hours.

Hmm, so what should I do??

I dont think your Spring grades are necessary for the application, seeing as how you meet the 30 hour minimum. People have been accepted before their Spring grades were sent to admissions so that’s my thinking. You still need to send your Spring transcript though because you want UT to have those grades if you’re accepted. If they’re still reviewing your application when your Spring transcripts reach them (if you send them) they might factor those in. In that case, I’d send in Spring grades after your admission, if those grades hurt you. However, the best advice would be to call admission and ask if your Spring grades are a requirement for you.

And you better hurry. The deadline is tomorrow. If you send them electronically you should be fine.

Isn’t there another deadline? June 15th or something like that? It doesn’t apply to me, but I’m just curious.

To my knowledge the other deadline for sending in new transcripts is June 1st. There might be some other deadline on June 15th but I wouldn’t know anything about that.

Or at least that’s what mystatus said and it’s what I’ve been told every time I have called admissions.

Did any of you guys try applying for Fall admission?

I did see a deadline for june 15th for turning in spring transcripts on the website however it says turn it in by june 1st on myStatus page when it is in incomplete state. Maybe june 1st ia the deadline for people with less than 30 hours that require rhem for consideration? And june 15th for people that have 30 or more that is not needed for admissions consideration? Thats my thought…

I think June 15 th was the deadline two years ago. It was like that in the last thread.

I was thinking it changed because it would otherwise take too long for decisions to come out. Hopefully they start sending out decisions next week more often since they don’t have to worry about any more applicants.

Yeah, I hope some decisions do come out next week. I’ve been stagnant for pretty much the whole month of May.

Hey guys, I got accepted yesterday morning, already paid my deposit and registered for orientation June 26-27. Good luck to all of you still waiting!!

Stats? And major?

Those of you submitted appeals, what are your stats? For the person who got accepted- how does that work on an appeal?

@ Kfree I appealed and sent in my updated transcripts. I only had 2 B+'s for the last two semesters the rest were A’s, and I got an A for every mathematics class I’ve taken up to calculus II. A detailed description of my stats are given earlier in this thread around page 17. My gpa with updated transcripts was 3.588.

Does the UT Admissions application page update only from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday? I always catch myself refreshing on weekends…

I’ve read of people getting accepted Sunday nights but I’m not really sure. But I feel you bud. I check at least every hour.

@mathguy1000: keep us updated on your appeal status!

@dpayan7 yes I will. You should keep us updated as well! :-)
