Also helps that I’m in-state transferring from UT Dallas.

lol nice!! good job guys, i think it’s the CNS wave now

Huhghstan: So what’s next? I know they requested my spring grades but since you already submitted yours what are they asking for now? Did your status change from “not admitted” to something else? Sooo confusing!

so im guessing the engr wave is probably done

Well the Communications wave needs to hurry up and get here.

i wouldn’t say it’s done

they can’t just leave you hanging without a decision, it’s either yes or no, so as long as it’s still under review, that just means you haven’t been accepted yet, or however you want to look at it

Hey don’t kill your hopes. Admissions still has so many applicants to review so just wait it out. We all know how frustrating it is to be waiting for a long time.

Dpayan7: My status changed from Not Admitted to Complete/On time when they received my updated transcripts. No status change since then. Has yours not changed to that since sending spring grades? If not, hopefully it’s just a technical error. I think now my app should be back in the pool of applicants, but I’m worried that I’ll get my decision in “a couple of weeks”, as said from the admission appeals page. Ew.

Any liberal arts getting answers?

@hughstan: well that sucks. My spring grades won’t be out until Monday! I thought an approved appeal meant we were in :(

Yeah me too I was excited up until the paragraph in the appeals tab said that approved appeals had no effect on whether or not I’m admitted. "Your Admission Decision appeal for your Fall 2013 Transfer application has been approved.

Approval of your appeal doesn’t affect your admission decision. Please visit the Admission tab for information about the current status of your admission application and for updates as they become available."

Just got accepted into my first choice, Psych (BA)!

dam i wish we would have gotten accepted sooner. the june 27th/28th orientations are already full and the next ones are in july

For orientation are we supposed to stay there for one night?

Yes you are. If you are a transfer student though you do not have to stay on campus. You can make other rooming arrangements and save yourself about $40. It still might be a good idea to stay on campus though if you don’t have family or friends in Austin and you want to participate in the social aspect of the university.

@Hughstan: I know I got that too but I thought that was just to verify that my GPA did not drop during the spring which would invalidate my appeal.

The Appeals page makes it seem like the only step is getting your appeal either denied or approved.

“It is not a good idea to wait until you hear about your appeal decision to take steps that will assure everything is in place for you to begin your studies should your appeal be denied.”

i don’t know that’s what it sounded like to me but I guess not.
Damn :/

I wonder why an appeal would get denied instead of accepted though?
I mean I didn’t really add any new information, I just elaborated on old stuff that I’m sure they overlooked?

Dpayan7- I haven’t seen that message yet. It looks very cringe-worthy lol who wants to be reminded that they might get rejected?

Yeah the appeals process already seems very thorough and long. I guess they want to make sure that all new applications at least qualify for reevaluation, not so much for admission.
Still, elaboration counts for something. I mean working for 30STM is seriously a unique experience not to mention they’re so famous, some people just don’t know that.

I haven’t heard from CNS
3.82 with 33 hours

@hughstan: well I guess all we can do is hope for the best! goodluck man, ill keep you updated on my end. The Spring Transcript delay is killing me! I probably wont hear back until late june :/

what also psyched me out was googling what an “approved” appeal means. To every university I checked with, an “approved” appeal meant a positive change in admission status.
