Im on my tuition bill and I have a zero balance, but I still cant see where I confirm my attendance

According to my RIS page, I think you can confirm your attendance or pay tuition starting on the 23rd of this month.

@Hughstan @propayne7 thanks so much you guys!! I was really freaked out about that… Orientation was like one big blur, so I didnt know if they had talked about how to do it

Madison, go to the registrar website and click estimate tuition bill… This should give you an estimate around 4600-5200. Tuition Bills won’t be out till July 23rd and they are due Aug 14th by 5PM.

@oatman thanks so much!!

Where do you pay for your id?

Ok so question about RTF courses: Do some of them open up for everybody throughout the day? Because I was just able to sign up for RTF 314 despite the fact that it was closed an hour ago (two out of three classes now say open and one says open, restricted). Is there a chance the others will open up as well (317,318, and 319 still showed closed).

Ok, so I was planning on attending UT in the fall, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, I will not be attending. That being said, I made a huge mistake and ended up signing a lease for the Castilian and since it was after the deadline to cancel the lease that I found out I wasn’t attending, I am now stuck with it. So, I need to relet the room to someone So, here is my plea: if you were planning on applying to live at the Castilian for Fall 2013-Spring 2014, I would ask that instead of going through the regular application process, you would go through me and take my room since I’m not going to be staying there. Also, if you’re just looking for a place to stay and want to take my room at the Castilian, that would be great too. I really need to relet this room to someone, so if someone would be willing or knows of someone that is willing to take it, I would be forever grateful! The Castilian also currently has a promotion going on for double bedrooms, which is a choice between a $1000 gift card or a $500 gift card + free parking.

Oh! And if anyone knows of any other place that I could advertise this room on, could you let me know? Thanks!

RTF 305, 314 ans 316 are officially core curriculum classes for Fine Arts and are never supposed to be restricted.
The closed and restricted sections of these classes are most likely FIG sections.

The ID fees can be paid at the cashiers in MAI 8, or on the Web by going to the “What I Owe?” section of UT Direct.

Well that’s odd because during registration I couldn’t sign up for any RTF course whatsoever. All of them were restricted.

jp what did you apply for again when u got into UT? Also, do you think getting rejected from your first choice hurts your chances of admissions

I applied for RTF and UGS. I only got into UGS. And I don’t think it would hurt your chances if you got denied your first choice. However it may be harder to actually get your major since it’s typically harder to internally transfer to your major than to transfer from another school.

Ahh I see. I was considering applying to Mccombs first and then government as my 2nd choice.

So I’ve been making some phone calls and apparently a big head at the college of communication wants to speak with me personally. He said if he feels that I got what it takes he might be able to pull some strings and get me into the classes I need to be in.

For those who will have on-campus housing, has everyone scheduled a date for check-in? Is anyone going to pay the extra fees to check in early?

I know this is late but after months of checking this forum for the latest updates, I’m glad to say I am finally accepted into Cockrell’s school of engineering for Chemical Eng!!

Now i just need to find a place to move into in just 20 days! :/

Wow did you really just get accepted? That’s terrible. Good luck finding a place and getting into decent classes!

I would guess he was pleased and doesn’t think it terrible at all. In the end, convenience is sacrificed.

Well yeah that’s what I meant of course. I’m sure shawnk01 was very excited as we are were but I also remember being pretty sad when I found out that I was only able to get into one useful class because there was no more room.
