2014 SCEA hopefuls?

^ Well, the month before the Yale EA deadline was absolute h3ll…Desperately searching for a good essay topic then revising, then being stressed out about school, and managing to cram everything in. After that, I just used pretty much the exact same essays and applied to 6 more schools, which was easy because everything was in common app.

But the wait is still torturous, lol. It was bad, but life is getting much better now :D

a few comments
I had a friend last year who got deferred then waitlisted at Yale, he dropped off the waitlist and waited out the Cornell waitlist. He took a gamble, and is now happily at Cornell(He did not offically get in until June 12th!!!)

second: I applied to my safety(UAlabama-in with full ride), my first choice(smith) and another one of my favorites(scripps)…if I get in, I’m done with apps. If I get rejected, I’m applying to either UChicago, Brown or Reed

I was almost confident about the whole SCEA, now I’m bracing for tears and disappointment

Yeah, definitely going through an emotion roller coaster ride! Up and down and up and dooown. But, it’s normal sooo

SO SCARY about Dartmouth!

I can’t believe we’re all finding out so soon! It’s gonna be really cool to see where all your classmates end up and all that. I’m quite excited!!

Waitlist would SUCK. But if I got in waitlist, I’d totally go. No question there. hahahah.

Is there any point to dropping out of a waitlist? Can’t you just stay on and see what happens? Unless you’re limited to being on the waitlist for a single school only I guess - is that true?

Oh, and yeah, I’m already submitting RD apps.
I don’t want to depend on Yale. Not at all. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to not submit any RD apps but I don’t want to think that I’ll get in. It would seem like I’m getting my hopes up too high, you know?

tristan-Yale was no longer his first choice, so he dropped off the waitlist to make room for someone else who really wanted to be there
I thought it was noble of him

so i think the thing im going to hate most if im rejected/deffered is that i have to finish my other apps.
stanfords looks particularly painful despite the fact that ive already done the short answers and one essay…

oh…and has anyone else checked out the Stanford SCEA thread? I love the fact that we all are supporting each other…it’ll be especially good once D day arrives

correction: EVERYONE EXCEPT ME!!!

hey pigs… good luck and i actually do hope that u’ll get into yale seriously hehe
i kinda hope that everyone gets in but guess that’s not gonna happen

Wow, 205 pages?? You guys are awesome, and I wish you all the best of luck!!

~Brown EDer =]

Shhhh… Nobody tell her that Stanford’s is bigger.

We’re almost down to the 5 day mark!

and Branford for me :).

Haha, Dramacratic, thanks so much!
Us Yale SCEAers wish you Brown EDers the very best of luck come Dec 9,11,15…whatever day it may be
:)

^today for dartmouth

Wow like, I am so so nervous right now. I really hope that all the stuff that I’ve done at Yale helps…

Looking at all the Darthmouth acceptances, I felt like everyone who was accepted had at least one 800. While I am happy with my scores, I don’t even have one to my name :P. Oh well, that’s life.

I wonder why Yale has to wait until the 15th if they already know all the decision results???!!! I should be studying for finals, but I am addicted to CC now!;)

CC Addict here as well! :]

So is it confirmed that Yale has definitely made the EA decisions already as of today? (At least that’s what somebody said yesterday)

It’s Davenport for me.
