2014 SCEA hopefuls?

to play catch up on this thread

FinAid-I’m pretty lucky. My family makes about 80k/year, but my dad is unempolyed right now due to cancer, so I’m sure that will help finaid alot. either way, I’ll probably be paying around 10k/year(my parents aren’t paying at all for school)

BUT, if I get merit from SMITH(which i’m hoping for) i’ll be paying a bunch less…so i’m hopeful

“I wish decisions came out last week”

Yeah, I know, right?

Princeton and Yale are tied for me. I like Yale better as a school, but I like Princeton’s location better. It’s a trade off.

I didn’t like Harvard at all.

^ Really? Why not?

Guys, I’m feeling your pain! Finals Wednesday through Friday, and I’m freakin’ out. Can’t concentrate!

Everything is going to work out, though, don’t worry. Just have faith in the system. Know that the world will keep turning no matter what happens on Tuesday, and that things will work out for the better come April.

We’re all going to be fine! I’m so proud of everyone. Good luck to all, and stay sane until decision day!

Me too. The only things I like better about princeton are that it’s much closer to where I live and that I like the surrounding area better.

“Good luck to all, and stay sane until decision day!”

To think we signed up for this stress, I don’t think “sanity” is one of our virtues. :)

i feel like a lot of people on this thread didn’t like harvard. i didn’t like it as much because its campus wasn’t as nice as any other school’s i visited (too urban, not cohesive enough). it made me worry that i would feel isolated there.

Why didn’t I like Harvard?

Someone said before that they didn’t like the vibe there. I agree. People there seemed more arrogant than they did at Yale. In addition, I have heard that people at Harvard tend to be focused singularly on their own area of study, while people at Yale are more well-rounded (the renaissance man type.)

I also don’t like their lack of undergraduate focus (the grad schools are much more prevalent) and I didn’t like the area that much.

You have to admit that Boston beats New Haven any day…

Well I am not a city person in any way shape or form, so while I enjoyed my short visit to Boston this summer, I can’t imagine living there.

For me,

Princeton NJ>New Haven>Boston

I guess its because I’m so familiar with New Haven that makes me dislike it

I went into New Haven expecting it to be awful, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Does anyone else find themselves checking the Eli website just in case Yale pulls a Stanford and makes the decisions available early? :stuck_out_tongue: Hopefully it’s not just me…

What time exactly does Yale post the results online? And will there be another option that comes up in the Eli Sign In… becuase all I see right now are “Regular Decision online Decisions” and “The admitted Student Website”

Sorry if this is a re-post… I have never used CC before. What time exactly does Yale post the results? I heard 5:00 pm on wed? And will another option appear on the Eli Sign in page? Becuase all I see is"Regular Decision Online Decisions" and “The Admitted Student Web site”

^Correction: I heard 5:00 pm on tue

Yes, 5 PM on Tues. I think the consensus is that we log into our Eli Accounts and that should show the decision? Not positive though.

@tristan- that sucks your finals are next week :frowning: mine arent till after break

I have 6 to do if yale doesn’t work out…can’t find the motivation to do them either. too nervous. hopefully if I’m rejected from yale ill have more motivation to do my other apps

@Khachaturian, this is like 10 pages late but i suggest any of bachs partitas. my fave (and the one i recorded) was partita in a minor
