@pomeranian4rich Yeah I might have to cram during the summer and what not, but I don’t think USC caps you at a certain year. You can continue to take classes as long as you want, correct?
@MountainSouth no it’s not logical to think that you’re already rejected! I haven’t heard back either (I’m applying for dornsife too) and it’s a long time until June 1st so don’t lose hope yet! And plus on the USC Twitter a couple of days ago they sent out a message to transfers and literally said “transfers: we are still looking at your apps.” So just keep waiting!
@MountainSouth I agree with ohwiseone. I think there’s even some leeway on that date of June 1st because I was accepted after the deadline date last year (June 6th). Both of my majors were in Dornsife, so just because you haven’t heard by now doesn’t mean anything at all There’s still two full weeks to get some form of decision (along with a couple days).
JUST GOT MY PACKET IN THE MAIL ITS GORGEOUS!!!
Dornsife, Psychology. Letter dated May 12th, out of state.
@Sxsxjx Congrats! @topchoiceschool I think you can stay as long as you want, but you probably have to lay out what classes you’ll have to take each year so that you’ll know if you can finish within 4 years or might need another semester or two before graduating. I think you have to talk to you counselor to do something like that.
.
Anyone heard ANYTHING from Annenberg yet?
@tashanicole no, nothing at all…
Do you get the decision letter before email?
I did not receive any email and my portal is not updated it has no decision or anything.
But I received my acceptance letter today, dated 2 days ago sent from priority mail (I live in Hawaii)
From what I understand and I’m almost entirely if not entirely sure this is correct… You receive the letter before anything then a few days (2-3 or so) the youSC portal updates. The letter itself is in a thick, USC colored and sealed folder
I received the folder in the mail then days later it appears on my portal.
dammit…I’m traveling abroad over the summer and nobody is at home…should I call the admissions office? or just wait for portal to be updated?
@Sxsxjx did you receive an SGR?
Eh, so I haven’t heard anything back… like… at all. I just finished my semester with all A’s and my GPA went up, do you think I should send in my grades?
@PolinaMadison it’s best to wait. my admission counselor told me not to send in my grades unless instructed to do so. A week later I got a sgr and so I send in my grades to them.
I was straight up accepted, no SGR. Even though I have BOTH required English 1 and Math (the only two classes ALLL USC students need to transfer in) in progress this semester and have never taken a math or English class before this or AP.
Stats are:
GPA: 3.91
Credits: 57 now, 42 at time of acceptance
Major: Psychology
I was hoping to just get in and not get an SGR and have to wait until June-July and am SGR doesn’t even guarantee acceptance, having to wait around only to possible be rejected after waiting a month more than everyone else… sounds like hell.
@PolinaMadison If you have your official grades now, why not send them in? If you get accepted, you have to send them in anyway
I actually think there’s no harm in sending them because if you actually wind up getting an SGR, they would already have your spring grades and it might speed up the process
@Sxsxjx Yeah, that’s pretty lucky. Almost every person that has their writing or math class in progress gets an SGR. Very lucky indeed
