2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

Is the wait going to be just as long to hear back from them after sending an SGR?

Annenberg applicants hold on lol

Hey, I was wondering what are the things on our Document Library in our yousc account?
They do not show as required but I have several things on there, such as essay. I do not know what essay they are talking about but if I click on document info it explains as "“your application essay…”.
Do I really need to be worried about this section? I have ignored it this whole time because it never was under required section and since it says application essay, which I have done in common app.

Any ideas?

to those who have been accepted and are looking at housing options off campus or students currently at sc, where are you deciding to live for the fall? looking at the lorenzo, west 27th, and gateway. I like lorenzo the most but its pretty far from campus. any input?

I am looking to live off-campus… 14k/year to live on campus is just too much …

@mnada99 I wanted to live at Lorenzo; it looks so nice lol. But the cost is basically more than what my mom pays for our mortgage, so there’s no way I could have ever had the money to live there. One of my classmates lived at the Lorenzo. He seemed to generally like it, but disliked their little shuttle to campus. He had a lot of complaints about it never being on-time and such, so he just stopped relying on it. I would live there if I had the money though :stuck_out_tongue:

@mnada99 I applied for university housing but I did look into some of the off campus housing. I’ve seen reviews on all three places you’ve listed, and many seem to complain about problems with management and maintenance. I think that’s also common with a lot of places, but on the plus side Lorenzo, West 27th, and Gateway all have better amenities and fully furnished rooms. They are more expensive, though, and if I remember correctly West 27th only has $2000/month studios left. If money isn’t a problem, I would suggest Gateway as it is the closest to campus. They are on the expensive side though since you would be sharing a room.

@qwality2953 just curious. Do they have parking structures for students living there? Lorenzo, west 27th, gateway or any of them in general?

@zettasyntax after i read that you said that there’s no harm in sending my spring grades in prior to them asking, I went ahead and sent in my grades just now… Haha
I’m a freshmen going into soph, most likely they would ask for my grades

@pomeranian4rich yes they do, its $100 a month for tandem parking at the lorenzo, $200 for single space. for gateway its $125 a month for parking and idk for west 27th

@pomeranian4rich not sure about prices for west 27th, but I’m pretty sure they have an underground garage. I could be wrong, though, as I found this information on some old threads.

For those who got admitted or received a SGR, how did you all find out? Emails?

if we choose to live off campus, does USC cover our room and board?

@Sumner I got admitted in like April or so. I was expecting it just got a folder in the mail first. Then few days later my portal changed to say I got admitted.

@Sumner I was wondering the same thing, but specifically for a SGR. Have applicants received their SGR via email or through YouSC?

Any other Marshall applicant still waiting?

@quin97 I’m still waiting I’m Marshall Pre-Accounting

Those who are admitted are notified through standard mail. and then a few days later youSC changes.

Other accepted students - When and how did you guys hear about your financial aid?

@Sxsxjx I finally got my financial aid from FAST
