2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

Annenberg applicant just got an SGR :smiley:

Edit: It appeared in my required documents, though, not as a written SGR. I spoke to my counselor weeks prior to receiving this and he said I could just send my spring grades when they were released as opposed to waiting on them. So I jumped the gun and had them mailed yesterday.

I’ve been keeping up with this thread for awhile now. I am a Marshall applicant who has just X’d off another day on the calendar. Sounds like a lot of people are still waiting though so I am still hopeful, we are only halfway through May after all!

Sophomore Annenberg applicant here from a Cal. community college. Hope to hear good news from many Annenberg transfers soon. I stalked the previous year thread here, and I saw that acceptances and rejections didn’t roll out until around last week of May and around June 1st!

Annenberg sophomore applicant, just received a SGR! Transferring from a 4-year private Southern California University.

Annenberg applicant, no SGR yet. I don’t know how do I feel about not getting a SGR because I’m on a quarter system, which means I won’t be getting my decision until mid JULY if I got a SGR… but not getting it feels a little insecure lol

@Trojan2119 For the most part, yes. It seems like getting an SGR and possibly waiting until July ups the odds of one being a spring admit, but random things have happened. I remember a Marshall applicant that had a bit of advanced standing as a junior and he didn’t hear back about his SGR until toward the mid/late July! (it was July 20something, that’s for sure). Anyway, oddly enough, he was admitted for the fall semester. So while yes, hearing back late into May and into June/July for SGR people leads to a greater likelihood of being a spring admit, being a fall admit isn’t impossible :slight_smile:

@CADREAMIN Thanks :slight_smile: I like to talk even if nobody listens :stuck_out_tongue: Also, back when I was a newbie, I didn’t like looking back through all the pages/was too lazy, so I understand completely if the same question is asked over and over again; it doesn’t bug me :stuck_out_tongue:

@Sxsxjx Junior spring admits likely will need to take an extra fall semester to make up for what they missed as they also need to complete 64 units at USC - this is why I don’t exactly like the idea of spring admits too much for junior transfers. I’m not sure if USC lets you walk at graduation if you would graduate in the summer/fall, but it sucks knowing I wouldn’t graduate at the same time as other junior transfers that applied the same year as me. I’m taking a jab at summer classes at USC; hope I survive :stuck_out_tongue:

@zettasyntax thank you so much!

Hey guys,

I just got my acceptance package today!!
I’m a junior transfer and was accepted as a Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Studies major within Keck School of Medicine.

Thank you to the active users on this thread, it helped me get through what seemed like the longest wait!
Stay patient friends!

@transferme12 did you receive an SGR

hi can you tell me ,where can I see the restrictions?

@PDrake6 : I’m from the east coast. No SGR, no decision. Nothing in the mail.

Anyone else from the east coast? did you get a decision or SGR yet?

I applied to Sol Price School of Public Policy with a 3.64 sophomore transfer. On track to get a 3.8-4.0 this semester. Do many people apply to this school and if not does that mean that they have more or less spots available?

.I got an SGR today and I’m at a 4 year on the east coast @selfofsteam

@bigstom Price is a very small school. They usually enroll between 30-45 transfer students each fall semester. For fall 2015, the entering transfer class was 1,505 students, with only 3% in Price School of Public Policy (about 45 students). Fall 2014 and earlier was about 30 students. Are you Policy, Planning, and Development or Real Estate Development?

@transfercool I applied to Price as well, are you PPD or RED?

Hopefully not many people apply to Price and we have better chances to get in :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: @meechum.underwood Almost forgot you; I think this is all of the Price hopefuls currently on the thread

Got my packet in the mail! (5/18) Pinch me I must be dreaming! :slight_smile:

I applied to Marshall and I’m transferring from a CSU with a 3.6 gpa.

Fight on!

@John6311 I didn’t receive an SRG!

@transferme12 Congrats!! That’s my major as well!
I hope to find out soon! I was going to ask if you had access to OASIS and what your restriction says if you do?

@thepinksun what are your stats? @PickleSituations congrats! what are your stats? and you a incoming sophomore or junior?

@elm411 Thank you! Hope you get good news soon as well :slight_smile:
Yes I have had access to OASIS, my restrictions date changed two days ago and also the stars report was filled out and my admission mail was received today!

@transferme12 congrats! Would you mind tell me where can I see the restrictions date?
