2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

I got an SGR dated 5/18/16! I’m a viterbi Applicant Comp Sci and Business, California Community college. 33 Units completed. 4.0 GPA    For those who are viterbi applicants: Stay Strong! The wave is coming.

@cctousc I am PPD

@cctousc I got a sgr so that has to count for something in terms of admittance

@bigstom I hope that’s true. but mostly likely it will depend on the rigor of your classes. what are your stats and intended major?

I got a SGR as well. I applied for Marshall. Knowing that my decision will be delayed is killing me :frowning:

@pomeranian4rich I had a 3.64 last semester and this semester will likely have 4.0 or 3.8 at the minimum. My intended major would be Policy Planning and Development at Sol Price

@thepinksun @tashanicole Congratulations guys, finally news from Annenberg! Could you guys please post your stats, the wait is killing me :frowning:

Wait I just got an SGR from Annenberg, Transferring from USF

San Francisco, not South Florida

just barely now sending in the other required forms… guess im not getting shit when it comes to financial aid :frowning:

Hey everyone, I have not been able to go down to USC for a campus tour due to my busy schedule. How is it for the people that went? A lot of people have told me that the area around USC is pretty bad and dangerous… is this true? I wouldn’t let that stop me from going to USC since it is my first option.

I got my SGR in April and I am going to get a 4.0 with 6 courses at the end of Spring 2016. Marshall applicant, with a 3.70 at the time of the application and 3.78 after Spring 2016. How are my chances?

Thanks in advance. I have been reading people’s posts but decided to finally post one myself in a long time (first post was in March?).

got accepted into my backup school, now just waiting to hear from USC to decide where I’m going… :!!

USC financial aid just asked for my “Income and Expense Declaration Form - Parent”

@brookecandy what major did you apply for?

@BIMguy it’s funny how people keep saying its bad and dangerous before I visited it for the first time and after I seen it I felt at home because of where I grew up. Honestly it just depends on what’s “bad” and “dangerous” to you.

@ProfessorX5 Great to hear. I live in Antelope (Near Sacramento), which is typically a clean and nice area. USC did have a lawsuit against them in 2012 when two international students were shot dead in the area (USC won the case). I am not trying to scare anyone, just curious myself. I believe that it can’t be bad enough for someone to change their decision. Thanks for the response, X5.

@BIMguy I went to USC for a Tour, inside the campus is beautiful and they are improving on the security around the school every year. The neighborhood is quite shady… I use to look for a room for rent around USC to move into, but the houses were old and there were a lot of shady people so i did not move around there. However, I don’t think its too much of a big deal. You’ll learn to adapt to the area. Like knowing that you should be careful when it’s dark out; knowing to not walk in weird allys, and what not.

@BIMguy oh antelope ?! I am from south Sacramento! Nice to see northern Cali !

@Cindyciclta Wow that is interesting… It is discouraging but at the same time it will not change my mind if I got accepted. What about you? Btw, thanks for the post!

@ProfessorX5 That is pretty cool! Where are you going to school? I am at ARC.
