2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

@AIS562 did you see an option to submit an appeal under the submit documents tab on your portal. Earlier in the thread we have notice that this is a pretty big sign for a decision as it disappeared for many, then started to reappear for some. It was evident through those who were accepted and never had the option to submit an appeal reappear

^^^Actually everyone should read that!!

Does anyone know how to upload spring grades? Are we supposed to screenshot our transcripts or what? I already had my current school send a copy of my spring grades to USC but someone at USC admissions said I should upload them too. I’m confused how I am supposed to so this if I don’t have access to my official transcript.

@tashanicole I asked my admission counselor and she said you can upload your transcript via your usc portal or send it directly to them via mail.

@pomeranian4rich LOL I was thinking that too. Calc 1 & 2 weren’t bad at all, I ended up with As in both so I think that should account for something. I still think that they don’t prefer one over the other otherwise they wouldn’t have Business Calc as an okay-to-take class. However, I feel like Calc 1 & 2 should be required because almost all UCs require it so it should be a common platform for every school.

@BIMguy I’m a non-traditional student so the newer pre-reqs that came into place a year ago or two don’t apply to me. The only area I haven’t technically completed is math, but I also have a few electronics and programming classes done. My ACT math score is abysmal (I hadn’t done a word problem in 10 years when I took it last December), but I can do mid-high level programming and business math. Otherwise the majors I applied to don’t have a ton of prereqs (SCA digital arts and Dornsife undecided). English classes done, and 2 language classes done with “Pass” grade. I wish I knew if I was in or outright rejected. :stuck_out_tongue:

Any Viberti applicants with a “restriction” change but no response/indication of an acceptance or rejection?

@John6311 I don’t think I’ve ever seen the appeal option in my documents area, and I’ve never had an option for SGR either, as far as I can recall. I didn’t start looking for them until April though, when I started stalking this thread. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m applying to SCA as my first choice major, which I know is a bit different from the other colleges (perhaps the last to review apps), so I’m not sure how my experience is applicable to everyone else.

I’ve never been able to access Oasis either.

@tashanicole most schools allow you to email your transcript to someone - email it to yourself, make a pdf, then upload it

@weeanonymouse oh, when we noticed the appeal option that was mid-March, as some students started to get accepted :open_mouth:

@John6311 Hahaha ok…I don’t think I started looking for it until the beginning of April, at the earliest. :stuck_out_tongue: I don’t recall ever seeing it though, even when I logged in a few times in March. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just received my acceptance packet in the mail today!
I was a Viterbi applicant for the Computer Engineering & Computer Science major. I go to a private 4-year university in the city of Chicago.

Cumulative GPA: 3.4
Transfer GPA: 3.65
I did not receive a SGR but I did send out an unofficial transcript as soon as my grades were available (my final grades were available over a week ago)

I’m so excited to be a Trojan and I can’t wait until fall! Be patient Viterbi applicants… your decisions are coming very soon!!

@pomeranian4rich is it a transfer worksheet from off of USC’s website? If so could you post the link? I’ve tried finding more transfer info on Marshall since the one I previously found was a bit outdated, but I couldn’t find anything.

@weeanonymouse how long did it take for it to say that they received ur official transcript?

@sdaw27 Congrats!! At least they’re finally processing Viterbi applicants.

@Cindyciclta I never got a formal notice, but it’s there in my library when I check my received applications.

@weeanonymouse oh I see, I asked because I sent my offical spring grades via PDF (my school has that option) and it said that USC received it already. But it has not popped on up on my portal that it received it

Also, there was an option to upload my transcript through the portal at the same time I got the sgr, but I didn’t do so. But yesterday the option was gone :o

@sdaw27 congrats! Are you a sophomore or junior transfer

My son STILL has the upload option even though he sent his SGR weeks ago two different ways.

@John6311 I am a junior transfer.
