@zettasyntax Rakin Hall was not my counselor but I was able to sit down with him through connections and he told me he would advocate for my admissions to USC.

I ran into a USC graduate the other day and she told me that students in USC would first go through people’s applications. (Reading our essays, looking into our gpa and whatnot). Then, all those people who passed the student’s evaluation would go to the Counselor.
From there we get our sgr? I assume.
@penntousc I don’t know. I do remember reading somewhere online that USC scholarships were awarded to students with a GPA > 3.7 with more than 30 units.

Undeclared Engineering Here, just got SGR!
What’s interesting is that my university grant was around $36k without the scholarship and now with the scholarship it’s at $16k or so. So I’m still in the same situation price wise before the scholarship.

hi everyone, I’m sorry for being so late to the party and asking stupid question, but I’m so confuse about the SGR, I got the red package in the mail today, inside they have letters saying that I’m admitted, and what major i got admitted for. So that’s not the SGR right? I’m in USC for good right?

@PDrake6 Thank you. My stats aren’t the most impressive but my GPA is 3.6, however I only have 1 B out of 8 calculus and physic classes. So I don’t know if that’s why I got admitted.
