Earlier I said I was admitted to the CoE for astronautical engineering. My stats are 3.94 GPA w/ 82 credits completed I believe. Took physics 2 & cal 3 spring semester along with statics. Differential equations is in progress now for the summer term. I have multiple extracurriculars, Started up a club/ was president of the same club at my community college, was part of student government, member of an honor society and was part of another club that did volunteer work. I believe I didn’t receive an SGR because I was only missing the second physics sequence which I was completing in spring.
Funny thing now I got accepted to Umich and I’m not sure which one to choose lol
Hello,
Currently at smc and ucla extension. I am originally from Northern California. I have been reading almost every single comment on this thread. I applied this year for fall 2016. I believe that there are a lot of people with low gpas that have gotten in. I actually know quite a few that have been accepted.
I have a 3.41 gpa and after this semester it’s looks like it’s going to stay the same. Technically still a Sophmore and will have over 50 units. I was asked for the Spring Grades rather early in April. I am only taking 9 units this semster but my last 30 units are only A’s and a few B’s. Reason for low gpa was because I went through severe health problems and have been able to bounce back and do well in school. Do you guys think I have a good chance on getting in?
I’ve been accepted to: Loyola Marymount University, University of San Diego, Chapman University, University of San Francisco, University of Hawaii at Manoa.
The only school I’m waiting for is USC as it is my first choice. I already did make a deposit at LMU & USD just in case.
My cousin just got into Marshall school of business with a 3.6!!!
Hoping to be a Trojan in the fall more than anything.
Would love to get any input as I have not been able to sleep because I’m so anxious and still have another month and a half of waiting since im on the quarter system with my classes
Decision: Accepted (5/20/16)
Marshall
Currently at a Northern Pac-12 B-School
GPA: 3.6 (triple major w/ honors)
Junior Transfer
Quals: Founded RIA firm at 20 y/o. President of student investment group at current university. Internship at one of the largest public asset managers in the world. Associate member of CFA Society of LA. Connections to student groups on USC campus. Went to high school in Orange County, CA.
I was able to leverage my SC admissions decision to get my current school to offer me a full ride if I stay. A very tough decision ahead.
@masechka1988 I checked online, and my portal had updated. I haven’t received anything in the mail yet (and my mail comes very late on Monday’s so I won’t get anything until around 5 today).
@dominicklee30 Do you know if the enrollment deposit is refundable? I’d find that out and if it is, definitely submit it to secure your spot/financial aid awards, and when you get your decision from USC you could easily just withdraw from the other school and get the enrollment deposit refunded! I’m stuck because my school’s enrollment deposit is non refundable
@AboveBall check to see if their admission deposit is refundable! if you get into USC/decide you want to go, you could easily have the deposit refunded, withdraw, and submit to USC
I GOT INTO USC! I got into my second major which is International Relations (Global Business). What do you all think about International Relations at USC?
My first choice major was Marshall School of Business. I am happy and disappointed at the same time. I saw the admission decision on the usc portal first. I have not received the packege in the mail yet.
Wow thanks. For some reason I thought you were only allowed to submit a SIR to one school and one school only… Maybe I’m confusing a SIR with something like an Early Decision… Thank you thank you
@PolinaMadison omg we are the same! I wonder if not having an update in the portal means rejection for me? ): I did apply for undecided as my second choice.
