Has anyone heard of anyone rejected from USC?
Hi, everyone! Long time lurker here.
Admitted into Viterbi CS for the Spring 2017!! Saw the decision on you.usc and post marked May 20th (haven’t received a physical letter yet). I got a 3.49 GPa. I didn’t see too much information on Spring admits. I was wondering if there are any chance I can be bumped to a Fall 2016 admit and should I contact my USC counselor? Lastly, how are the housing arrangements made for Spring admits?

Also, it seems like everyone who was recently accepted that saw their decision on their portal had postmarked date of May 20th, and today is May 23rd, so it seems normal. Maybe the mail is just delayed?
@John6311 AHH THANKS! Yup, I applied as undecided, but my second choice was psychology. I still do not know what I want to pursue career wise, but I am open minded! I actually got the decision on May 20th, which was about five days after I sent my SGR. I found out the decision through portal because I think my acceptance was sent to my PO box at school, so I won’t get the physical letter until a while from now.

how did you guys get an access to OASIS? It says student ID and mmddyy of my birthday, but I still can’t access it
@PhFourteen I submitted my SGR awhile ago, and still have not heard anything 
When did you actually receive your SGR?
@John6311 I got a final notice for missing materials (needed to show more units) on May 4th. On May 18th, I got the Spring Grade Request. On actually May 20th, I got the acceptance! So actually I found out about my acceptance about three days after*****
@masechka1988 I do remember you but that is probably true, she can’t really say what is going on, a thing you could have asked was if your application has been reviewed yet or not but if she seems kind of annoyed by the previous email, then just say thanks for a quick reply and I hope to hear back soon.
Either way, you have great stats and will be hearing back soon. Stay positive

@zettasyntax Oh wow that is weird. I hope that its just a fast process and they are waiting for me to have my prereqs done. I got a 4.0 this semester with 6 classes, do you think I have a solid chance (overall GPA: 3.78; Marshall GPA: 4.0)?

Nope, I couldn’t apply to USC as a senior in high school, but I had pretty stellar grades and a diverse and large amount of extracurriculars in high school. Yup, super soon!!! @John6311

Does anybody know when rejections are began to be mailed out?
Has anyone who received an SGR in late April or early May received a decision yet? It seems like the two applicants who posted their decision that received an SGR recently have already heard back
@John6311 Received a sgr on may7th and still waiting for my decision. GPA:3.8, marshall applicant, sophomore, finish most prereq.
@pomeranian4rich maybe the admissions office is choosing randomly? Idk, cause I feel as if there’s a pretty big amount of people who received their SGR in late April waiting to hear back, hopefully.
I just got in to my second major IR, dated May 20! Also, does anybody know how possibly it is to try applying for Annenberg communication major once youre in? Currently debating if its worth leaving UCSB with my comm major for usc’s IR
