Sorry to bring this topic back up…but in our document library, does it mean anything if I once had the option for appeal admissions decision and now it is no longer there?
@cjm1996 I have never had that option in my document library… but that is weird that it was there and isn’t anymore. Maybe a good thing?
@cjm1996 didn’t that happen in late March or early April? I never checked to see if it was on mine as it was only for an hour or so I think. It was probably a glitch, they had just released freshmen decisions and I doubt they had even started reviewing transfer apps
May is winding down and June 1st is approaching. So, for the people who haven’t received a SGR, then the admission office should give us a reply before or on June 1st, right?
@zettasyntax was it like this last year too where a lot of transfers hadn’t heard back this late?
@TheWorrisomeGirl not necessarily as according to past years decision threads. Some didn’t come out until mid-June to July
@TheWorrisomeGirl at this point, I would not expect a decision by June 1st. Hopefully no later than June 7th.
@zettasyntax Really appreciate you hanging in here with us. I lurked last year’s thread and was very happy to see you admitted, even if it was for spring. (Glad you chose USC over UCLA too!) I’m a nontraditional student with 80+ units at the time of application so you have given me faith that I will still be considered.
I think we can expect rejections to start coming out Saturday at the earliest, but more likely Tuesday.
But does USC at least send the applicant something by or around June 1st, give or take a week? The final decision might not come until later, but shouldn’t all applicants receive something in the beginning of June (decision or SGR)?
I am so nervous even I got a SGR.I think that I can get GPA 4.0 on my spring semester. But not sure about my stat class. I got 92% on my stat class and I have only one final test…But when I search about SGR, even some people get a 4.0 on spring semester, they got rejected… I need to wait and wait, but everyday I am so nervous and stressful.
Is there an official USC transfer 2016 Facebook group yet? I cant find one hmmm
For anyone that may know, is USC pretty good about accepting Financial and Managerial Accounting as equivalents to their accounting 1 & 2 courses? I’ll be completing them this upcoming year in preparation for Marshall (if I can get in eventually) but I haven’t seen much about how well they transfer.
Congratulations to everyone who are accepted. You guys rock!!!
What is an SGR?
Spring Grade Request
@penntousc if you type your school in on where to locate your admission counselor then you can ask him/her to give you the best answer
I just called the admission officer about if they received my spring grades (cuz it hasn’t shown up in my portal that it’s received). She said that they aren’t asking for my grades anymore. At that point I was confused. Does that mean they gave me an SGR by mistake?!
I asked what she means. She said that my “file is complete” and that I should receive some mail from USC from now through June 1!!!
I’m a viterbi applicant, comp sci/business Got sgr may 18, sent in right after. It’s soon guys!!
Damn you can tell that they are getting extremely annoyed, but thank you for the insight!!!
@Cindyciclta My son is Viterbi/CS too, so that is good news!!
Hey guys I haven’t received an SGR yet and I’m applying going into a Sophomore. Is it still possible to receive one at this point?
@penntousc There may be exceptions, but in general transfers to Marshall are expected to take an abridged accounting course at USC, assuming they have completed financial and managerial accounting prior to transferring. The course is BUAD 305: Abridged Core Concepts of Accounting Information and is only available for transfer students.
