Daughter admitted Dornsife undeclared as Sophomore transfer from Indiana. 3.86 gpa and double legacy.
Funny story to tell in that my daughter’s admission packet went to her dorm in Indiana by error so it was a good thing I told her to check online. SGR was received early May and grades mailed on May 11. Admission dated May 20 but only saw it online on the 23rd. Actual package letter forwarded and received yesterday. I suggest you continue to check online if you have not received anything.
Spent past week arranging housing. I suggest getting on that very soon after committing.
@sysdawg No I didn’t get a SGR. I have complitted all of the USC pre requisites for my major. I still have some general ed classes that I need to take, but they’re not part of what USC looks for in an application.
@twomore2pay4 Was your daughter accepted for Fall? I was accepted for Spring and I am unable to arrange housing until July (according to the Living at USC booklet).
When I got an SGR I had just under 30 units, and a 3.69 gpa so I think I did’t get accepted that year because it was based off of my high school transcripts. I also didn’t have a lot of the pre-reqs done. @waitgame
@jheintz What were you highschool records like? I’m asking because I’m pretty much in the same boat as you were in last year. I have just under 30 credits, because one class isn’t transferable since I’m in the honors college at the university I currently attend. I was asked for an SGR, but I’m also a legacy student. My high school records aren’t bad, pretty average. Also, I applied as a ethnic studies major and there aren’t really any pre-reqs that needed to be completed, and there wasn’t anything I can do besides take general classes because the school I’m at doesn’t have my desired major. And I mentioned all of this in my essay
Hey guys. Just like everyone else, I’m still waiting for the decision but I haven’t gotten any SGR or any other requests from USC. It’s probably because I finished my freshman year two years ago and I am on leave of absence due to my military service.
This would be my third time applying to USC and I honestly don’t know how it’s going to turn out but fingers crossed…
I have been accepted to Vanderbilt but applying to Marshall is another topic.
For those who got accepted already. Do we really need to take the math and chemistry placement test before the orientation? I just seem that as unnecessary since we already (or in my case) finished all my math and chemistry requirements.
S/O still waiting for Marshall. I know today is holiday but does anyone happen to receive acceptance today? Cos I heard that sometimes USPS provides service on holidays.
Past years it didn’t seem like this many Marshall applicants had to wait this long? Hopefully we didn’t all get rejected but that doesn’t seem very likely.
