I have a 3.8 but a lot of W’s. Average essays and good ec. Marshall first choice Econ second: all pre req and ge are done

I have a 3.7 tryna get into marshall with no W’s. My ECs are top notch but i dont think that matters. in a frat too idk if that helps lol

Hi, I wanted to say that I checked my portal, and I got rejected.
3.93 GPA when applied. 1st Major: Cinema & Media (SCA) 2nd Major: Undecided
It was so disappointing, because I worked so hard but was unfortunately rejected.
@TheWorrisomeGirl / @transferstudent2016xoxo I’m sorry to hear that, I know the feeling because I was very disappointed when I got my rejection from UCLA. It sucks but pretty much all of us here have options, and I hope you won’t let this minor setback discourage you from pushing forward. If you don’t mind, would you share your stats please?

I’m also an Annenberg hopeful. I just received an SGR a couple of days ago and am waiting for my semester to conclude before I can move into the next phase of application review.
I’ve completed 67 units with a 3.67 GPA. 4 Honor courses,Honor roll, PTK, Speech and debate member, peer mentor at my CC, but my personal statement could’ve been better imo. Also, what I think I have going for me is that all of my units were completed within the last 24 months, I have no W’s and just one C that may or may not even transfer over when it’s all said and done.
Does anyone know about appealing to USC? Please direct me to resources or people who have successfully appeal. I really need all the help I can get!
REJECTED.
It’s dated for May 27th but my portal didn’t update until today. I applied for SCA Film Production as first choice and Narrative Studies as my second choice. I shouldn’t be all that surprised that I was rejected because my GPA wasn’t the best, but I honestly tried and was hoping my essays would catch their attention.
I just graduated from community college with over 70 units…and there’s no point in me trying to reapply next year. There’s not even an option on my you.usc account to appeal, so I’m not going to even bother. And even though I am bummed out I didn’t get in…I feel a lot better knowing a decision either way. Now I can get on with my life! I will just continue my journey at CSUDH and make the best of it! Good luck to everyone, I hope all of those who are anxiously waiting receives better news than what I got today. And if you do get rejected…just know that not getting into USC doesn’t define your worth. USC is a great amazing school, but you are great and amazing, too! Have a great Summer, guys.

I was a junior transfer from a CCC.
My GPA was 3.6.
Major : Communications (USC Annenberg applicant)
Hook: Full time job, raised by Foreign/Immigrant single mother, studied abroad
@kawaiihawaii sorry about the disappointing news, I’m up in the air too. Way to remind us all that this whole admission process isn’t the end all be all, regardless of outcome. Congrats on the graduation and tear it up at Dominguez.
@TheWorrisomeGirl I think @kawaiihawaii said there is no appeal button option in the portal, but I’m not sure if that’s the same for you. Perhaps a simple google search might help direct you to the right place? good luck

I did not received a SGR, but I did submit my grades anyway as an unofficial transcript.
I ended up getting two Bs overall. 
The two Bs I got were in art classes I took for fun as electives, and I did well in all my academic classes.
@transferstudent2016xoxo wow those stats are almost identical to mine. Were you at a CC for a long time? I apologize if it seems like I’m intruding during a time like this, there’s certainly no harm intended. And I thank you for still being on here sharing your experience for those who are still breathing, it really means a lot.
