@songster20 @jjrrhh I’m really really confused why they would reject people with high gpa with great letter of rec and great ec, none of which I have. I have a 3.8gpa(finished two semesters of college), no letter of rec, barely ec(only one), and a poorly written essay(didn’t proofread my essay before submitting,I’m a dumbhead lol) and was given a chance with a sgr. It’s making me think that there are applicants who have certain admission counselor who will look at the application process differently from one another admission counselor. Maybe one prefers excellent ec or essay over gpa/college courses, and maybe one prefers college courses/gpa over the other. who knows? :\
Oh and I had one letter of rec from a political science professor who knew me well.

Hey so I literally just got off the phone speaking with a counselor and he said the decision has been made and the mail is on its way. I figured he wouldn’t tell me the decision through the phone so just gotta wait
I also have heard that the acceptance letter gets send my express and rejections by postage so that might trick them of telling you what the decision is.
Yeah…Maybe it depends on different counselors…
i went to a csu for two semesters, then took a year and a half off. i barely returned to a california community college last spring. my classes at csu were not csu transferrable, and i did poorly, so basically it’s like have only taken 3 semesters of college. i did talk about that in my app, though.
i’m not too sure, but i did email my counselor just to see exactly what led to their decision, if he replies, i’ll be sure to let everyone know.
i completed all the GEs except for one,
had straight As except for one C in a music of mexico class.
i showed upward trend since my first year in college. i have taken classes nonstop –
spring 2015 (12 units),
summer 2015 (6 units),
fall 2015(15units)
winter 2016 (7 units – 3units usc transferrable, 4units were a prereq for a chem course),
spring 2016 (15 units, upper bio&chem, upper math)
so i correct my previous post: i have 51 units completed.
i feel that it is because i haven’t taken enough classes to fulfill my intended major. but life goes on

Idk I was just freaking out and I called them and waited like over 15 minutes then someone picked up the phone. However I called my counselor Neelam and her phone just says she’s out of the office till next Monday (what the heck)
