2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

Man I am contemplating my decision of attending since I found out how much I will have to pay for 2 years…

@BIMguy where else are you between? Is it harder to get in if you go to a university outside of California?

Anybody know when they’re going to start adding people on the official transfer group on Facebook? Really trying to look for a roommate.

@megan343 what do you mean by your first question? And I believe that USC gives applicants a fair chance, regardless of where you go.

@successs Did you receive your notification on the portal first?

@BIMguy Oh your post made it sound like you were between USC and somewhere else because of the expense. Nvm!

@megan343 I just went on the official page through you.usc and requested to be apart of the group when i got accepted about a week ago.

@megan343 I got accepted to USC, UCSC and waiting on an appeal from UCI. I got my financial aid and now I’m conflicted since USC is my first choice.

@Kevinzzz are you transferring with 30 units or 60units?

@mrheha I’m transferring with 60 units. I have 91 quarter units completed, which I believe equal to 60 semester units. Nonetheless, some of the courses I took are not required by USC.

It’s June 1st and I still haven’t heard…starting to get worried

@Kevinzzz considering your not going to finish the accounting courses before you transfer, I doubt your appeal would get granted.

@BIMguy didn’t get a good financial aid package ?

@Kevinzzz you also would have to provide new information that wasn’t included in your application, otherwise they won’t bother to have your appeal granted. I think the main reason for your rejection is because of your unfinished prereq. you just started financial accounting so they can’t determine how academically prepared you are as a biz admin major.

@Kevinzzz did you receive an SGR or a flat out rejection?

@pomeranian4rich but financial accounting isn’t a prerequisite for Marshall?

@CaliforniaUSC no but it is recommended that marshall applicants take those courses so they can be evaluated on how well they can handle them.

@wmandy I am planning on reapplying and yes I did apply as a sophomore transfer.

So, how many people without SGR never heard back anything, like me?

@atlashoney I’m a PoliSci major (incoming soph.) and received a SGR on the 27th of April
