2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

@Redbre I’m trying to privately message u but I seem to not figure out how to do that.
Congrats on the acceptance! How’s the financial aid for u? And how much do u have to pay out of the pocket?

Anyone who has received a SGR and already have submitted their grades, still have the SGR Resuest message under ‘Check Application status’? Because I can still see my SGR request PDF there. The option to submit my transcripts are gone under the ‘submit additional information’ but for the Check Application Status my SGR message is still there

@John6311 yeah I have that still. My option of submitting my grades went away a few days after I called about having a mistake on it. I check a week later, they said they got everything and I should receive somethig by June 1. But it was a lie! :frowning: i think they just bullshit answers to get rid of us. I’m still waiting. I’m a sophmore viterbi.

Bull-crap* they don’t let bad words here huh…

@USCimhereforu I realized that it’s not a big deal because it’s just apart of the message history. This wait is hella long and hella annoying

@John6311 yeah, tell me about it… The worse part is I think the engineering school won’t get back until maybe JULY!!! Omg. That’s more than a month wait.

Does anybody know if the admission office is open/working on Saturday?

Shout-out to the people who have been active in this thread since <150 pages or earlier

@badmintongirl I’m sure it’s Monday-Friday 9-5 PST

Not sure if anyone else has yet to receive any communication regarding acceptance. But, if you are in that boat, I recommend giving the admissions office a call. I spoke to them today, and they told me that my apartment complex didn’t accept the package (for some reason) and that they will send it again. I am glad that has been resolved. Unfortunately, I still don’t have an answer, and I am already far behind.

Has anyone received a mail for the transfer merit scholarship?

has anyone ever applied three times to USC? accepted, rejected?

The same thing happened to me where the option to submit didnt disappear until calling

@zettasyntax just curious. Have you seen any applicants with a 4.0 sgr get rejected from last year? I know that it is still possible to get rejected after a sgr(which you’ve experience; a B in that math class got you rejected). If they reject an applicant with a 4.0 spring semester, what’s the point of asking for a sgr? lol

@ashurikko
If the class is on a transfer agreement/articulation, it should be transferable as units/for gpa. The class just might not be applicable to the actual major. The comm major doesn’t have any prerequisites (besides recommended statistics) so that must mean they have their own standards and curriculum that isn’t equivalent to other schools’ courses. Any courses you take related to comm is really just for your own benefit!

@pomeranian4rich I honestly have no idea, sorry :frowning: Nobody really posted rejections last year (especially if it was after an SGR). I was pleasantly surprised that so many people posted this year. Seeing this year’s trend, I suppose anything is possible though - even if it’s only like a 1% chance. Heck, maybe they would suddenly decide that they don’t like the classes you took after all lol, so they can be vicious sometimes :stuck_out_tongue:

Can anyone walk me through the off-campus housing process if you don’t live near the usc area?

Turned down USC yesterday. So hopefully that opens up a spot for someone else anxiously waiting!

@atlashoney may I ask why?

good luck @atlashoney may all your dreams come true wherever you are going…
