2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

@djnakuda Yes people posted about receiving those the last couple/few weeks and admissions twitter sent out that the transfer merit scholarships were complete and all recipients had been notified. Check admissions twitter a week or so ago, you will see it.

@djnakuda yeah I was mailed a letter saying I received the scholarship.

Hey guys I was wondering, say I have 55 units, and am going to be a sophomore, will I get a spring grade request no matter what? becuase I’m pretty close to being a junior and I finished all pre reqs in the fall semester.

@itslife123 I think you might get an acceptance without a sgr! It depends on your gpa and ec tho. Since you didn’t get a straight-out rejected this week it could be a good sign! think positive!

Hi guys! Just wanted to let you guys know that I successfully switched from International Relations major to Annenberg’s comm major! SO yeah its definitely possible, you just submit a form request and they’ll get back to you in a week or so

@LACCryan For a number of reasons. But mainly, during the long wait of finding out from USC, I became really attached to UC Irvine. And they have been so amazing with everything that it felt like the right choice. Plus I don’t have to spend anything out of pocket to go there.

My plan is to apply to law school at USC in two years. So I’ll be there soon enough anyway.

is there a Facebook group for this year USC transfer student?

@nhtrvn YES!! I made one yesterday. We only have 16 members or so. USC made an official one, but the admin is not adding anyone who requests to join. So I took matters into my own hands.

Everyone please please join the Facebook group. Search: “2016 USC Transfer Admits”

Does Marshall require you take Accounting or is it optional? I’m a CS major but I want Marshall as a second choice major. Thanks in advance.

@itslife123 optional, but highly recommended. understanding accounting well is a must in business and a good indication to see if you’re capable enough to be a bus admin major.

Has anyone who received a SGR been rejected?

Hey. Is anyone looking for a potential roommate for this fall? dm on here and we can message on Facebook to see if we can work something out.

Has anyone else gotten accepted? It seems a bit dead right now…

@USCimhereforu next wave might come tonight at midnight…

How bad is having one C in spring semester for sgr?

@waitgame might depend on what class it is. a C in a GE class doesn’t matter much, but a C in your major prereq might raise an eyebrow from the admission people reading your app.

@pomeranian4rich I just hope that that won’t be the basis of my rejection to my second choice. I just can’t take Acct 1 and 2 becuase I’m already taking math higher than Calc 2. (got A’s in both Calcs) and did all general ed’s. I pray I don’t get dinged for that (acct)

nothing from me today

Are incoming sophomores expected to take accounting? Because my college doesn’t allow freshman to take it (only sophomores and above). USC doesn’t let freshman take it either so how can they expect incoming sophomores to take it…??

Were people that were accepted first notified on their portal or by mail?
